I was a Sig/HK/CZ Guy and my Staccato P has become my ‘goto’ firearm. The fit and finish is impeccable and it is an amazingly flat shooting pistol. On top of an Amazing Firearm- they have some of The Best Customer Service/Support I have ever encountered.

I had my share of various 1911s, 320s, 365s and CZs. After shooting the P I ended up selling all of the other guns and now have a P, C2 and C. They shoot great, very reliable and now I have 100% consistency across the house for any defensive situation. I'll know I've lost it and have $$$ to burn when the XC shows up in the safe.

Absolutely love my Staccatto P! It’s a great duty PDW, super accurate, and well fitted for my hand. This is my first non-striker/glock pistol. Also my first 1911/2011, which won me over to this platform. I only wish I went with the DOU/DPO, which I will have to find a way to get an optic cut on my current model. Next 2011 I purchase will be the Triarc.

I just got done watching the TRI-11 video and I’ll tell you what.. I am in love with both Staccato P and the TRI-11 but with my skill level, I don’t know if it will matter which one I pick up, I’m still closer to a basic level shooter comparing to those who go shoot weekly or more than once a week. If I had to pick one, I’d pick the staccato cuz I’m honored and privileged to qualify for their heroes program and it’s more affordable to me in that matter. Great review and I think after watching this review, I’ll probably pick up the aluminum model if I ever decide to splash that much cash on a handgun.

A good holster from LAS Concealment, Tier 1 Concealed etc, will make is plenty easy to carry appendix. The only thing you need to conceal is the very end of the grip, so I wouldn't run one of the enlarged magwells. A good belt will help as well, I typically carry a 4" 2011 with a light, optic and spare mag, appendix. A good belt and holster will alleviate any weight concerns.

Trying to decide between this Aluminum P or a C2 for EDC and competition. Currently carry and compete with a G19 with an SRO, so I know the grip is a tad longer and a bit more weight but if it shoots noticeably better than the C2, it would be worth the effort. Thanks!

  • @texasgunexperience5096

I think when you start stringing shots together and start working reloads etc, the P would be more friendly towards competition. If you are truly looking for the dual carry/comp role, I would suggest the P. The C2 is a phenomenal carry gun, but you would still be competing against guys with much larger purpose built race guns.

Rule #1 Forums are a dangerous place... lol If I had to do it all over again, I would purchase the aluminum frame. The combination of how these are sprung (heavy hammer spring), heavy barrel and polymer frame are what make these soft shooters. Adding extra weight in the frame or grip is not needed, especially when considering this is a hot rod Duty /carry gun and not a dedicated race gun. The aluminum is noticeably lighter and preferred if carrying around all day. You will be very happy with your purchase.
