If you remove the plate to put an optic on, the plates have a rear sight built in so you still can co-witness with the optic.

When I bought my staccato p they set me replaced tritium for my front sight and they’re different colors. If I’m not mistaken they’re black,red,clear and an additional green.

I’ve always learned to press the slide release down with the off hand thumb after inserting the magazine on 1911’s after spending some time doing it this way I actually prefer that method.

It’s the same muscle memory of manipulating the bolt release of an AR. If you can reload and hit that without issue then you can just translate that to the staccato.

This here firearm is made for MEN not boys. Don't blame the gun, blame your genetics. Anyway I have small hands too and stubby little baby thumbs and struggle with the mag release. I wear gloves with thumb extensions they work like a charm on and off the range :D.

Loved the video and the production, great job. The part where you talk about the slide release is not really what a 1911 style gun is about. They were never intended to be a 2023 race gun format. The design was created when planes flew slower than we now drive, cars had wooden frames and were started with a crank, what illumination there was in homes came from gas. William H Taft was president and the Titanic was being built in a shipyard. Learn how to do slide release with the non shooting hand the way the gun was designed! Kids! Geewiss.

Ya I honestly could not remember if it did or not, our bad we are learning as well lol

Main issue with the slide stop and your inability to reach it. 1911 pistols and all semiautomatics were meant to be pulled completely to the rear for added momentum to stop rounds. jmho and what I’ve always been taught.

Broooo the site won’t work but i desperately want to try and win this grip safety, polymer metal hybrid, paper weight behemoth so I can (not so) concealed carry this bad boy to the dollar store and obviously appendix carry print it. Is there another way I can enter?

Do not hit the slide release with an empty mag. Needs the bullet to buffer. This is a precision gun not a Glock

I swear to everything holy if you talk trash on my slide release and grip safety again, we are going to sit down and have a very lengthy conversation in regards to my retirement funds... You will repent for your sins against the almighty JMB.
