kzread.info/dash/bejne/gn5sr7KIYcq9mNY.html Shooters, I’m getting a lot of comments concerning the Staccato having a red dot while the Glock does not. Check out my Staccato first impressions video...kzread.info/dash/bejne/gn5sr7KIYcq9mNY.html I’m shooting both fast and accurately and at extreme distances with irons with no problem. You’ll have to trust me, a red dot doesn’t impact my time and accuracy on these drills much at all, though for others it might.

The red dot affects your accuracy and time in a positive way especially at distance. Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics has shown this time and time again. I don't doubt that the C2 will outperform any Glock but the red dot does makes a difference.

@@xxthadeucexx thanks for stopping by. I agree with you, a red dot will positively impact accuracy and speed when you train with it. You can see that in the competition world, dot shooters are in a separate class and held to a slightly higher standard. I think the key word in my statement above is “MY”. It doesn’t greatly alter MY times or accuracy because I don’t shoot them that often..look at my video archives, I’m shooting irons at least 9 out of 10 videos. I shoot dots enough not to have to search for them on the draw, but not enough to gain a major advantage at this time. I have an astigmatism as well that impacts the dots precision. I agree- personally after shooting a lot of rounds through my XL and C2 comped with red dots and kept the optic on my XL but took it off my C2 comped . For probable SD situations I don't think the optic will make a major difference. I'll hit what I am aiming at with either but I find the C2 comped with just a light and stock sights is just better for ME. YMMV
If there is even a comparison between a $500 pistol and a $2500 pistol, then the $500 pistol is probably the better value. I still want a Staccato, though. 😆 Great video, good sir. Well done.

Thanks for the comparison. My C2 replaced my EDC G19. I carried the Glock for 7 years and during that time I replaced the recoil spring to a heavier weight, sights, and barrel. I was thinking of changing out the trigger and other mods when I started looking into Staccato. Decided to put money into purchasing C2. Carrying Staccato (no mods) for 6 months now and love it more.

I currently carry the glock 19 mos (gen 5) off duty. I carried a G30 for 20 years before that and a 1911 before that. I also carried a RMR equipped G34 at work before getting the staccato P. Having worked the P next to the G34 I had a significant improvement with the P model. I'm hoping for the same with the C2 when I can afford one. My 19 has more wear than yours is showing. My G34 has even more. They have thousands of rounds through them in training, some competitions and training at work (VCQB along with basic stuff). My old G30 and G21 (duty gun) have even more with most of the finish worn off. I wish the staccato duty type guns were around when I started.

@@StuninRub Good to know. Planning to buy something nice. Would not plan to carry any of them anyways. So I just want the best firearm for fun at the Range. I think the Nighthawks are a work of Art. I am thinking that’s the way I will go.
This comparison is good because they’re 2 of the best duty pistols on the market. I have 10’s of thousands of rounds through both. It’s quite simple. Remove the cost and what you have is: Glocks are much more practical, and carry better. Staccatos are easier to shoot but heavier with a bit more challenging maintenance. Forget accuracy, speed or finish. Both are solid in those departments, with reps. Worth noting, a Glock trigger can never be as fast as a 2011 trigger though. Both are excellent, personal preference.
Why dont your slides lock back?
Here in Aus, a Stacatto runs $8500 AUD. Gen 5 G17 $1150 AUD The difference in fit and finish and shooting experience is there of course. However, it is not 7-8x better to warrant the price being 7-8x higher. Diminishing returns is real with this. The value proposition for your money in the Glock is what wins for the majority of people. There's nothing wrong with wanting both. They serve different markets imo. Additionally, the reality is that 95 per cent or more of shooters won't be at the level to maximise a Glock let alone exploit the Stacattos potential.

Agreed, I’ve since traded of the staccato and still have the g19m.. For the staccato, it was a lot of money to leave tied up in a single firearm, much less a pistol.
Is the Staccato C2 DPO four times the gun to match it's price tag versus the Glock? No
I shoot the C2 better than any other pistol I've ever shot. Not only that but the function as far as the feel of chambering, ejection, slide to frame fit, trigger pull and reset and feel of the safeties is as good as $4k 1911's I've owned.
Please make a video with both pistol having a red dot then make a comparisson. Thanks!!!
Steel or aluminum frame? Any idea on which one is better?
@shootersresourcechannel642
2 жыл бұрын
The Staccato has a two piece frame, aluminum top and polymer grip. Both steel and aluminum have their pros and cons, steel is heavier, but wears less. The extra weight can reduce recoil, but it’s a chore to carry. Aluminum guns help provide an all metal gun at a reduced weight. If you are buying a 1911 in 45acp the aluminum will be more snappy, but in 9mm it’ll be a joy to shoot. Take care, hope that helps.
FYI with the staccato you're not supposed to drop the slide on an empty chamber 👍 other than that this wasn't a bad comparison video. I just bought staccato number 3 (chunk ported p duo) and already have a c2 dpo with dlc threaded barrel (my original duo is being replaced with this due to a warranty incident) and p that's at vulcan for an optic cut and stacc-port. You know what my firearms instructors used to say about a Glock vs a 1911? The Glock is a combat accurate pistol so at ranges of up to 25 yards would be considered for combat effective where as 1911/2011 can put a bullseye shot at 50 yards. Different tools for different applications. If you can afford it obviously the staccato is superior to glocks and I plan on getting one myself one of the these days for duty use.

Do you think the C2 is worth the extra money compared to the MR920 (or XR920)? The staccato reminds me of a 1911 Glock Mixed I have Both 1911 and Glock also got my wife a Glock 19 my Service pistol is my 1911 my personal pistol is my Glock I Work Armed Security Site and Unarmed Security sites
The Glock will serve you better in 90 percent of scenarios over there staccato and most of shooters couldn’t even shoot a staccato good enough to actually see the difference and if you are that good you probably wouldn’t be able to justify a staccato anyways. I’ve had both. Ended up going with Glock. You can maintain them yourself and a fully built Glock is only gonna set you back 1800 bucks.
I HAD to click on this of course and now I want to put my G19 up for sale :)

@@shootersresourcechannel642 I love my c2 duo question what holster are you useing for cc?
Compare it to cz p10c
I EDC since early 90s, actually carrying a Glock 17 or HK VP9 they are light in weight, accurate, reliable and fast, I learned to shoot with 1911 pistols and Browning Hi powers, I hated Glocks for long time until I carried one; Today a single action pistol is no brainier except as a collectible piece or you just like it and want it, also you dont want to expose an expensive gun to sweat, scratches and every day wear. Optics makes no sense either, most of the self defense shootings happens in very close distances and you dont even aim or extend your arms, besides the prosecutor going to use any optic or laser against you or any attached light for counterweight recoil. People complaint about the full size guns for EDC but they attach a lot of stuff to a compact handgun making the compact handgun more difficult to conceal, heavy and uncomfortable.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying Metatron, I actually ended up trading off the C2 Duo. It was a lot of money to have tied up in one pistol. Great gun though. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
Wouldnt a more fair comparison be a Staccatto P?

I had a rifle paid in full for a year and a half on allocation, i cashed it in , it never showed, and picked up a Staccatto P DPO, with the RMR plate, I really wasnt in the market for one, but the dealer demanded a 20% restocking fee for a rifle that never came in, so I got that and a Glock 48 with the credit? My wife picked it up in her name because ive been gone at work for months? But I really have no interest in it, im not a 9mm 1911, or 2011 guy, so its up for sale or trade , new in my safe with tags?

Yeah it's a cool gun but I always look at what and how a tool makes your life easier the weight the aftermarket the abuse it can take and the quik field work you can do with glocks is great you can take everything apart and fix any broken or aged parts in the field so you should owen booth . Staccato sure makes a great looking gun almost like they took the style of the glock and made a 1911

In the beginning, best to start with a basic reliable well known model. Plus the investment $ won't cost you a kidney. If you decide you're not going to shoot recreationally then the Glock would be the wise choice. To upgrade and raid the bank account to a Staccato, if and when you reach a good competent level. It's like driving, once you pass the driving test, you would be insane to buy a Mustang for your first car without clocking up hours and miles first. Well thought out presentation. Appreciated

Glock is the best budget gun and I didn't pay a crazy large amount to get mines.
I've had a Gen5 G19 for a while (fiber optic front, WC black rear) and recently added a C2 w/ RMR. I really wish my G19 also had an RMR so I could do a true head-to-head shooting comparison. It is unreal how fast I can put hits on target with the C2 (with the RMR).
Totally different platforms. One is made with loose tolerance's for reliability. The Lambo, I mean Staccato has a ton of work done. Do they both get the job done. YES! but come on with that. Keep at it. EAGC

While you can explain away that the test is only for 10 yards you have invalidated the test since the Glock doesn’t have a red dot. I would have been more impressed if the Glock had the red dot and the Staccato had just the irons.

I would expect an “apples to apples” response from a quality guru. I should have done a design of experiments and determine which features made a significant difference in performance :) I honestly just didn’t feel like taking my red dot off the staccato, so you’ll have to take my word for it, I do my first impressions video of the staccato without red dot and you’ll see it’s hard to miss with it... the G19 is great but it’s not on the same level.

There’s simply no comparison between a 2011 trigger and a striker fired firearms. So which one is better? It’s a of personal taste, budget, and needs. Many can’t afford a 2k+ firearm platform. Whereas the Glock is simply more affordable. So to compare a 2011 trigger to a striker fired fired mechanism.
Never shot a Glock I didn't absolutely hate shooting.....even hated holding it. LOVE my Staccato C2 and Staccato P. Both are extremely accurate compared to the Glocks I've tried...and my Staccato P has a Delta Point Pro on it, and that makes it almost surgical.
