Thank you for sharing this prayer . I am so sorry for the loss of your cat. We lost our pet dog unexpectedly yesterday . He went in for surgery yesterday but the vet saw something inside him and to put him down was the best course. 😔. St Anthony pray for us. 🙏

I work in a Catholic Book store and I sold a young woman a third class relic of St Anthony. I told her that St Anthony doesn't only find lost items, he finds lost people too. She bought a lot of things and the medal. She might be interested in coming home to the Catholic Church eventually ❤

Thank you, Sara- it has been a tough one. But we do see the hand of God moving in our lives all the same, and for that we are very grateful!

Thank you for sharing this touching prayer. We all have some sort of loss in our lives and getting older only means more of them. However, I am also aware of the many blessings in my life as I get older. It is easier for me to bask in the glory of the simple things. This prayer really touched my heart on so many levels. I am so sorry to hear of your cat's passing. Animals mean so much to us and it is a true heartache when they are gone.

I had never heard this prayer, but I'll definitely copy it to keep and use. It moved me to tears. I am sorry you lost Pagan Cat after losing your dad and grandfather. One loss is hard; multiple losses can seem overwhelming. Prayers for the repose of your father's soul.

St. Anthony is the patron of our homeschool. It started as a joke (because I always said our school motto should be, "Mom, I can't find my pencil") but he became more special to me as the years have passed. ♡

He is a special saint. We have always loved that his real name before becoming a religious was Fernando. That has always made him seem more dashing to us somehow, lol

Hello! I am so sorry about your losses. I do want to ask you something... And I say this with full respect: where in the BIBLE does it tell us to pray to saints? Or Mary? I would love a scripture on it. GOD bless you.

Hello- thank you for your condolences and for your question. To answer it, we ask for the prayers of Mary and the saints in the same way we ask our friends and family to pray for us. There are, in fact, several places in the Bible that mention doing this. I will link an article for you below, but here is a quick excerpt from it: "Some Christians-most Protestants, in fact-deny that the Bible gives support for devotion to the saints, but they are incorrect. The Bible encourages Christians to approach the saints in heaven, just as they approach God the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord: “But you have approached Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and myriads of angels, and the assembly and church of the firstborn who have been enrolled in heaven, and God the judge of all, and spirits of righteous ones who have been made perfect, and Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and the sprinkled blood which speaks better than that of Abel” (Heb. 12:22-24). It is clear the Christian has approached a number of heavenly beings: the heavenly Jerusalem, the angels, God the judge, and Jesus the mediator. “The assembly and church of the firstborn who have been enrolled in heaven” and the phrase “spirits of righteous ones who have been made perfect” can refer only to the saints in heaven." Rev. 4:10, 5:8, 6:9-11 all also support praying to the saints, but the full article is here: www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/the-bible-supports-praying-to-the-saints If you read it, I think you will find it very helpful :)

We looked at the publisher's website, and the prayer isn't on it… just in the book. We are so curious about where this one came from!
