So many parts, nooks and crannies to clean, but they're worth it for brew quality.

Thanks for the video, is pretty useful to me. When you clean with this method you have to leave some valve open to vent and avoid that the fermenter/unitank crush like a soda can? I'm new on this so I'm a little worried about this. Thanks again

FYI, Not sure if you solved your question regarding the garden hose fitting for the CIP ball. Blichmann makes a backflush hose for their Chiller that works well for me on my 14gal SS BME Conicals. It's pretty easy to make but your homebrew store may have one in stock.

Honestly that's very similar to the solution I wound up with 🍻

Could you use the Brewtools system for a CIP instead of your pump? If so do you have a magic video on that one?

Not sure if comment posted but have you tried using the Brewtools pump for fermenter unitank CIP?

Hey man thanks for the video. Just curious if you have tried using the CIP ball for the sanitizing process as well. I'm guessing it would foam like crazy but i'm just curious. Just got my unitank and did the initial cleaning and stuff without the CIP system and it seems like it is going to get really old doing this in the future without CIP.

Great vid! I've heard that brewing pumps like the one you used in the video don't make enough pressure to spin the cip ball(although, that may have been on bigger tanks). Is that true in your case? Just trying to piece together my cip setup and was wondering. Cheers!

Not having the pump draw from a bucket is ok? I thought having the pump pull from the racking port or even the bottom port was to restricted? I'm looking at how to use my Spike flow pump and unitank 2.0 cip. Haven't figured out a way yet

I would prefer to intake from the dip tube as well as the bottom port. Or bottom and recirculate and the top. I'm pretty sure this is how this video shows it

Hi. I'm about to buy an Ss Brewtech 14 gal or Brewtools F40/F80 and plan to use a CIP ball for cleaning BUT I can't find info about suitable hose dimensions and pump capacity. Im am considering a 19/12 mm (12 mm ID is 1/2") silicone hose and pumps in the region of 12 000 litres/hour (approx 53 gallons/minute). Could you please share your findings?

Hey what fittings are you looking for? Exactly brutals or other manufacturer?

How does this method do cleaning all the ports? I want to buy a 14g unitank and do the same thing, but constantly removing tri clovers all over would kill the experience for me. Biggest issue I foresee is the pressure gauge area getting neglected. Which I guess a second cip there is feasible

It works pretty well sometimes the thermal port will have some good left in it. Usually I'll pull that one off first and clean it and then put it back and then CIP everything. I typically still take everything apart and soak it though once I'm done.
