Rugby was the big winner in both games in NZ and SA.So proud of rugby as a game.Any of the 4 teams involved can win on any given day.

Congratulations to the best team in the world from Ireland. I think we made 😊 too many mistakes and South Africa took advantage. I was expecting a bit of a pumping in this test and that didn't really happen so st least that's encouraging. I think we should be better in the second test and I am quietly confident we can get a result.

That was an excellent game, epic to be honest. Boks deserved the win. I do think Ireland missed the offload speed of JGP. I also think Ireland learned a lot from this game. Could it be like the New Zealand tour? Lose the first, get a handle on the game and win the second? If it's 1-1 we'll all be annoyed that there isn't a 3rd game. Is the next game at high altitude or not ? It was a great commentary too Hamish !

Durban - coastal. Although, to me it seemed like a few of the Japan based Boks also struggled with the altitude. Unless you live and train at altitude, your lungs will struggle.

@@vanrensburgarchitecturebim1641 Thanks my friend. Yes, high altitude is difficult if you're not used to it. I did a lot of mountaineering when younger and experienced the high altitude in the Himalayas and the Andes. Went to Peru first and when I landed in Cusco I wasn't even able to carry my backpack. LOL. It took me two full weeks of acclimatizing before being able to climb. But after 3 months there and then on to New Zealand to try Mount Tasman, then Mount Cook I was fine. Even now, years later I can walk up steep hills easier than people half my age and do a lot of trekking in the Taurus Mountains. I don't climb anymore, too many broken bones..Anyway I am totally with you on the altitude , no amount of training will create what happens when you're up high.

Great test. Congratulations SA. Sea level will help both teams next week. If Casy is injured, that will be a shame, as the speed game next week will dissappear with Conor Murray. I think Ireland have a great chance next week. It should be a 3 test series..

Guys Handre just had a baby. He wasn't about to leave his wife and baby to practice hitting the poll for these two matches😂😂😂 I was always very concerned at how everybody villainised and cursed Mannie for his kicking while praising Pollard as if he wasn't human. Leave them alone wethu we won.

If Pollard kick at this level a few games in a row he will have a support challenge on his hands - just like Libbok did. That's the way it works - supporters do not like losing. While we are winning he will be "forgiven" for a while. We leaked a try in his channel as soon as he came off yesterday - that needs sorting asap.

Dubious TMO decisions caused a 14 point swing, to be fair Kolbe deserved his try for his vision and perseverance, but Ireland were scammed with the TMO disallowing James Lowes try, so that would be a drawn game.

Boks were not ruthless enough to slaughter IRE. We need to work on ruthlessness otherwise we will forever have a second best comparison to ABs. Kwagga should not start the match unless PSDT is injured at 7. Kwagga better off as impact man with the bomb squad. Next match is a must WIN for Boks to shut the debate on who is the BEST and we will BEAT IRE for sure.

We will always need a dependable kicker dude - as in 80% plus success ratio. Libbok has great skill and kicking - but his mental strength seems on a par with Elton Jantjes. Very high pressure games get to him. Based on what I have seen so far Sasha Feinstein-Mgumuzulu has the best chance of taking over from Pollard - probably why he was playing yesterday. Pollard had an off day with "only" 57% success rate - something that nobody, including him, will find acceptable. As long as we win he will get away with it for a while. But there is absolutely now doubt about his big-match temperament. If he is healthy and still playing there is a great chance he will still be the number one choice at the next world cup. Talking about our running game yesterday - it looks great, but Ireland was well prepared for it and their very solid, organised shallow defence we most definitely needed a few chip kicks over the backline to put them in reverse and defense mode. In fact, two of our tries were created by good kicking. Good defense win big and tight games - with a bit of luck the Irish would have beaten us yesterday.
