Great to see you back again after many months of peace and quiet. South Africa have beaten the French twice in a row when playing on the sevens circuit this year (Which you would know if you actually listened to the video) I would say that with a stat like that predicting South Africa to win would be reasonable, wouldn't you?

So, you don't need a specific reason for choosing the bookies' favorite, just let statistics work for you. On the contrary, you sort of have the onus of the proof when you chose the sayin the underdog, i.e. should have one or more specific reasons why you think the odds won't work in the case at hand (if you're a neutral that is, of course if you are a fan of the underdog you don't need any reason!). So, again, I'm not saying that our friend Kiwi Lad's prediction is wrong, just that since as far as I know he's not a Saffa, I would be interested in his rationale. No since you've thought clever to raise the 2023 RWC event, showing a total inability to grasp my point, let me point out a crucial difference between the 2 games : I have it from good authority that BOK won't be refereeing today's game.
