    Amazing. I've got the same racket as El Shorbagy but that's as far as the comparison goes.

    One think I don't understand is why Squash Tv didn't included the highlight of shorboagy's Match ball at 12-11. I mean, Not showing the point destroys the element of suspense from the viewer's side. They show you that he's a bout to play the point, and then the video suddenly jumps to Ashour's match point. I'm thankful for the highlights and all, but that's just a big no no from the editor's end.

    Definitely one of the best games I've ever watched. Finals can be poor sometimes because one player or the other can be more tired from a more strenuous journey to the final. But holy mother, did these guys deliver. I couldn't sit down during the final game, it was so tense! I'm a Ramy fan, so, happy with the outcome but, with Mohamed's comeback from 10-5 down in the last game...I would have been too impressed to be sad about it. Reffing and commentating were superb.

    I have never seen any game played like this. The accuracy and speed with spontaneous consecutive brilliant plays need to be watched repeatedly by young players to develop this exquisite timing and reactions. This is exceptional raw talent layered with tenacious dedication and hard work. Wow! still smiling in awe after watching this again!

    This match reminded me of that epic wimbledon final between nadal and Federer shorbagy being nadal and ashour federer great match to watch and for ashour to win after not playing for six months shows even when hes not at his best he is still the best in the world look at how shorbagy destroyed matthew in the semis and even being fresh for the final it still was not enough shorbagy im guessing will need a new approach if he hopes to stay at number 1

    No doubt this was a great match. Elshorbagy is at the top of his game & Ramy's probably the best player ever. I love the fact that the Egyptians have brought a stop to those long lengthly rallies along the back-hand sidewall which would go on forever & make the viewers tune out. Now, it's all action & you can't take your eyes off the ball for even a moment!! With that said, I think the number of unforced errors from both (especially Ramy) were a bit of a downer, at this level. Maybe his injuries were the reason. I saw the full match on Squash TV so most of you guys probably didn't see that part. On a different note, the quality of the video on Squash TV is rather poor. With a $100 or more fee, I'd expect full HD, minimum.

    Squash will find very difficult to become an Olympic sport. The fault lies with the people who manage world squash.The game is not reaching general public. Youngsters are not taking up Squash in countries other than Egypt. If people don't get to watch a game, they will not attempt to play it. Squash administration makes no effort to let people watch this game for free.

    People who don't play squash don't understand "let's" and "strokes". I love squash, but from a larger perspective, it' a faulty game because lets and strokes are design deficiencies and the rules that govern them are quite subjective at times. Another factor is that the ball is too small. A lot of people have a hard time watching it, even in 720p.

  • @ajaywadhwa2544

    @ajaywadhwa2544

    9 жыл бұрын

    john roberts The ball used in table-tennis is smaller than a squash ball. One cannot call the game faulty. The game is highly referee-dependent but so is the case with other major sports-football,cricket etc. The problem with observing squash is the black colour of the ball. The white ball is easily seen on TV screens.

    It is 2014 and the game of squash is gasping for recognition in society. How can one make it popular among people by still not making it free to watch online ? The beautiful game will never be able to reach homes and get confined to few countries only.

    Jeremy Morton These sports are available free online. Pl. Search. Also please observe that Tennis, football etc. are so widely shown LIVE on TV networks. They are all free. People see them at their homes. How much is Squash shown on TV? In my country (India) we have not had any major tournament for the last four years and none of the national tournaments have been given TV coverage.

    This qatar court was quite a bit less quicker than previous qatar tournaments last year and for the world championship year before. If the quickness was at the level of last year El Shorbagy would have won imo, nevertheless he played brilliantly leading 2-1, but ashour being ashour came back again again and with 6 month break makes it even more ridiculous against an all might el shorbagy. Shorbagy just needs that first win over ashour for him to fully cement his dominance over ashour and given he is younger it is inevitable, question is when. Though I do feel with the way ashour has been playing, if he continues there is no question he will be one of the greatest (he already is imo), but potentially the greatest?? who knows lol , its possible. What do you guys think?

    Rob Porter check the youtube setting. There's a 720p option if your connection is Ok for it. Sometimes it defaults to 480p. Next year we will be filming events in HD so it will get even better!

  • @ggoooogg

    The problem appears to be the low video bitrate of the recording. I always watch KZread videos at the highest available resolution (720p in this case) over high-speed internet. HD camcorders that record 1080p have been extremely cheap for years, so why wouldn't PSA automatically use them to fully preserve these amazing memories? Unfortunately, this video appears rather blotchy and unsharp at 720p. But maybe there is a higher quality version of this video that could be posted, so present and future lovers of squash can more clearly see the magic of these two players. As for next year, I believe PSA should start recording in 4K (Ultra HD), as the cost of 4K camcorders has dropped dramatically, and the results are visually stunning. Lower resolution versions can be generated from 4K recordings, as needed.
