    It is not great, but it works. If you have issues with technology and cameras; don't buy it. It is not magic, it does take some work. Like any camera, your SD cards need to be formatted, and firmware should be updated every spring. I have not had issues with it. It has done the job for me. If you have a property more than 30 minutes away then I would buy one. I have bigger problems with trespassers than I do with the Spypoint.

The concept is great and they must definitely make some decent money at what they do, if they had better support and better buissness morales on helping the customer base they would do very well. But when I had issues with the spypoint link micros they replaced it with the 2021 link micro LTE. I have had zero issues with all four of the cameras . I have had all four in a high traffic area on my porch and backyard to test for 2 months before I put them out. U know everyone thinks spypoint sucks but based on my experience with the newer LTE models not so much . I've owned tactacam reveals beforehand and when the batteries went dead it was a brick . I have 4 of the micro LTE 12 Volt on solar. I have had good luck with mine I guess. I've had em over a year. Now I did scratch my head for a couple days until I realized it needed firmware update becausecamera stopped sending pics to my phone. I bought all 4 for like $80 each. So for how cheap it was for me to buy them they work just fine for me and I get pics sent to my phone vs going out in the woods where all my stands are to check cameras to see what's been going out there. in the past going through 4-8 camera SD cards looking at all the pics in each one would take quite a bit of time. Now I can see the pics as they are taken which helps me alot. Their customer service sucks a big one and that's a fact. I have heard people having issues with their equipment but I haven't. I live in Louisiana where it's Humid and Hot so we don't have to snow and super cold weather as people in Northern states do. So maybe that might be a reason I haven't had really much of any issue.

    Hmmm my experience with my cell link is opposite of yours including the customer service. My cell link has been out in the woods on my property for about 8 months. I have not did any updates and it's been working great. With tech support I contacted them my other trail cams. I have about 8 link micro one of them was not connecting to the network and within less than three minutes of talking to a rep, he understood the issue with the camera and didn't beat around the bush and was sending me a new one. Mind you the cam that I am having issues with is almost two years old and had been out in the woods for almost 2 years. Yes it's hard to reach them when you call but when I have, which was twice, they served me well.

    Cell cameras some are great, some are good and some just suck.....But they are only as good as the server is....So if you have a Verizon cell camera but Verizon service sucks in the area the camera won't work or it will take alot of effort to send pictures. Ridgetec is the only cell camera on the market that comes with both Verizon and AT&T Sim cards, therefore they take the guessing out of it. Also if your cell phone is showing low connection bars, cell cameras have somewhat of a better connection cause of the exposed antenna and the fact to could add either a booster antenna or place it higher in the tree....mere feet can be a difference

    I’ve had many interactions with spypoint customer service and I haven’t used a more generous company. They have many customers Service reps and just dealing with people in general your going to find a few with poor customer service skills. As for you $5 you could have easily convinced them to give you a free month of service or $15 spy dollars as they have done for me to make up for a mistake. When I initially purchased a spypoint I was having signal issues and they offered to swap me out for the other model for free to see if I got better signal. As for the firmware version you do not need to be on the latest firmware for the camera to keep sending photos. You may have had a firmware version with a bug causing something but definitely doesn’t apply to every update.

    @daniel16978552 жыл бұрын

    Love how my coment got removed because you didnt like how I called you out that its not the unit or cable that was the issue but the USER that was the problem. So lets try this again. You have to make sure that you PROPERLY ROUT THE CABLE so it doesnt get pinched cut or slightly pulled from the sdcard slot in the host camera. 95% of the time when the cable is "bad" its one of those issues and not a problem with the cable its self. Odds are you probly damaged the cable under the the protective cover by not makeing sure it had proper clearance and it finally stopped working. If your host camera has a hard time closing you need to mod it to creat a proper fit for the cable. Thats why they didnt replace it. Next firmware does NOT NEED UPDATED RIGHT AWAY I let mine go MONTHS before updating them (I have 2 cell links and have 0 issues with them by the way) and will down load the firm ware but will wait 2 or 3 months before updating the firmware so Im not going in and out of the woods all the time. You do NOT NEED THE PREMIUM PLAN TO USE SPYDOLLARS THATS A FLAT OUT LIE!! I use mine all the time and I am ALWAYS ON THE FREE PLAN. I use them for the HD photos. So another issue I see you saying is the cell link will send the burst photos. This is NOT true. The manual even says is DOES NOT WORK WITH BURST MODES. The card speed on the adaptor is to slow on the cable to send to the micro sd card and the adaptor card storage is so small that is can only store on average 2 to 3 photos at a time before its forced to send them to the cell links micro sd card. If they had gone with USB C over mini USB and used a minimum 2 gig stoage for the card adaptor that wouldnt of been an issue. But they didnt. I have talked directly with they head of their product deveolpment department about that. I WILL 100% agree their email and phone CS SUUUUUUCKS if you want to get the best CS you need to get online and use the chat system thats the ONLY way to get anything done. When it comes to your $5 they would of gotten it refunded no prob. I get you had a bad experience with them (I had one with them my self that I took to the BBB to get resloved) but theres a lot of misinformation in this video thats just not true. I said it once before but you took that coment down. Its sad that you did that just because you dont like being told you were wrong on some points. Should you of gotten a refund on the $5 100% yes should the cable of been replaced? Nope not at all because odds are it was how it was routed in the camera that caused damge. Ive had 1st one for over a year now and my 2nd one will be a year old next month and both still going strong (origninal lithium battieries too but I dont get 1000 photos in a month lol). I am well versed in the cell links though and think this video paints an unfair picture of what they are and what they can do by some one who had a bad experience with CS and didnt properly rout the cable the 1st time to make sure it didnt get damged.

    Hmmm... pretty sure I never removed any comments from this video. I myself have been responding to people and my response never appears, so maybe something along those lines happened. I typically don't remove comments unless it's spam. I don't really care what people think or say. There's no "proper" way to place the wire as I have tried it on MANY different cameras. Depends on where the SD card slot is. Some cameras close so tight that I don't care how you place the cord the door will pinch it so tight that it cuts the wires inside. As far as the updates, yes you do need to keep them updated. You might go a few months after the update and be fine but at some point it'll need to be updated. That's straight from SpyPoint's mouth...if you can understand what they're saying. Hah! I know I'm not the only one with bad experiences with them and most of their stuff is junk. Bust mode on a camera does send me all the photos so I don't know what you're talking about there. I have Burst mode delayed for 2 seconds between each photo and it will send me all three photos, so maybe it depends on the camera you're using. If they work for you.... keep using them. This is just my experience
