I’ve literally sneaked behind the enemy spawn just to take out there teleporter’s and shoot them, I don’t backstab a single one of them but they still lose there minds over me doing a pitiful 24 damage to them occasionally. And then whenever they do kill me I just use the cloak and dagger to sneak past all of them practically effortlessly and do it all again. Yes I am a scumbag but it works to distract them of the cart so easily that I just need to do it.

Part of engineer is the same concept of brain blasting. 90% of the time a good tele and dispenser are the real bread and butter of the class, but you get to put down a giant robot gun that beeps really loudly and makes the enemy team worry about it more than your own flesh team

It's not uncommon to sync up a sniper peek and spy decloak in HL. Difficult to deal with both pick classes coming at you from different directions.

Playing Spy is like planting a little seed of evil in your mind that grows and grows the longer you play as him and the better you get. It’s like Pyro, but instead of also sapping away a few of your intelligence points it renders you more and more vulnerable to instant Spy main-ification by successful trickstab, by which point you are cemented as a Spy main forever. The last time I checked, Dane only had about 100 hours on Spy, so I suspect he isn’t fully gone yet. There is no cure though, so you’ve always got to be careful!

as long as spy makes the enemy unable to do their job, spy does his job

Guys, voice lines will still sound while cloaked, and it is the best trolling method that I've seen few people use. Get into an engi nest with cloak and dagger and start spamming spy! for the engi to go crazy

@@littlecatking9836 sound = off for them then. Some people (like me) like to play tf2 and have a podcast or a yt vid playing in the background, so they won’t react to this sort of psychological warfare. A.k.a you’ll get a completely free backstab on them once per 2 rounds.

Honestly, my favorite spy gag, even if you and I seem to be the only one to use it, is to just. Uncloak and immediately recloak. My favorite way to do it is to disguise as an enemy spy, then hop on an enemy sentry. But never have I considered the application of it to lead to a backstab before!

I think it's pretty easy to kill a spy when you know they're there, especially as engie or sniper (unless they get ya first of course). All Luigah had to do was listen for the decloak.

By far my favourite thing to do with Spy. Backstabs never register, so I make the enemy a quarter as effective by just making them on edge. Turns out if you're checking corners and keep flipping behind you you aren't too prepared for the proper bulk of my team. But 99% of the time I'll just avoid him because I'm more effective as Engie or any other class except probably Sniper. And on less serious servers like CTF, cloak and dagger is so fun. Go up to a nest and just mess around. decloak and sap one dispenser. Keep giving voicelines while moving around randomly. And when you're done taunting them, use directional commands to guide them to you to finish it. Or mislead them and sap their shit again, your choice.
