I hear ya! I love my SA-35. It's been a pleasure to shoot. About 600 rounds fired with not one malfunction. Keep up the great shorts and vids!!

I wish. Took mine out yesterday, EVERY MAG, second round failed to feed. 200 rounds, 5 different mags. Its a high serial too (30,000 series) no idea how everyone else is getting reliable ones.

@TarynLamont-nr7ky That sucks... Mine is the 26000 range. Springfield can be so hit or miss. My Prodigy had tons of problems from the start. Sent it back for warranty work, 4 months later, I got it back and it now runs amazingly well. Good luck with your SA-35!

Honestly, I think the Springfield looks better too. I hate that stupid divot on the right side of the slide on the FN and some original Hi Powers. Oh, and I like the Springfield's safety more too.

The FN doesn't take legacy mags. You have to buy new proprietary mags for it to work.

@jimmylonghands I've been left handed for 50 years across the two centuries where the lever was port side only. If you can't activate it with your index finger, just slingshot the slide. Or, FN could have hired an actual designer to blend the shape into the frame and not make it look like a tumor.

I like the new fn because it's an actual modernization of the design. However it's an absolute boat anchor for no reason.

Not really. The FN version has virtually no compatibility with the original platform and not to mention; no optics cut, not picatinny rail, no compatibility with original magazines with a pricepoint of over 1 grand, is not by any means "better" or "modern" in 2024 or even 2022 when the weapon was first revealed it was already dated.

@@ReckerFidelWOLFOptics are irrelevant for me and the old mags suck anyway. I also pefer that the safety clicks on rather than the loose just sliding on/off like my old browning hi power. In my opinion, if you want authentic just get an old one. Edit: And price/use wise I don't consider it different than going and buying a P226 mk25

So it’s confirmed that Springfield makes better reproduction’s of the High Power than Fabrique Nationale. Not to mention the Springfield SA-35 is also much affordable than Browning HP-35.

The SA-35 is the best right out of the box. So what does FN do? They make an over priced “New High Power” that’s twice the price and heavier than the original. Hell a CZ 75 BD is a better weapon than the “new” High Power and you can buy two of them for the price of one New FN High Power. Fail by FN. 👎

I love my SA-35. The only thing I have a gripe about is no pic rail on the bottom dust cover. FN made this same mistake. Why would you reinvent the Hi Power and not include a pic rail, or even be optic ready?

Because the Hi-Power design is classy and elegant, and works just fine without all that junk. Why would you want to ruin such a beautiful gun by making it “tactical”. Reject modernity, embrace tradition.

@@NathanSF-qr2ds I don’t remember where I read that, it may have been a fabrication of someone’s twisted mind. I just went to their website and it’s up and running. I have also heard the new High Power wasn’t selling very well. It’s just a different gun than the old one. Oh well, we’ll see.
