Tune in a tube is no joke. I did a full rebuild on a Gamo of approximately 2005 vintage with 10s of thousands of shots through it. New seals and spring as well. You don't have to go wild with the stuff. It really doesn't take much at all. All I did was coat my spring lightly. I'm at about 5k shots after rebuild and all is well. I'd say I have enough tune in a tube left to do at least 6 more rebuilds. Love that gun. Tagging a coffee can at 80 yards with iron sights all day.

@@wahiawabound808 the one I spoke of is a Gamo Socom Tactical model. There was a whole Socom series of rifles back in the early 2000s that are discontinued today.

@@joshuagibson2520 wow lucky you got one of those I have a nitro venom by Crossman which is also discontinued. One guy on KZread has a video of him saying he killed a fox with the venom 177 Jim cougar is his name I was lucky to have gotten one.

It would be helpful to show close up where you’re putting the oil

Use only ballistol to clean barrel

Is there a way to assess/repair any (possible) damage to the piston/spring caused by a dry fire?

What about underlevel, how can we lube, the barrel is brazed to the cylinder. Thanks.

K. I have pure silicone oil and a syringe. Hope that is safe lube for piston...

I have a Crosman blaze xt.. It’s a nitro piston chambered in .177 and it’s been making a honking noise almost every time I cock it.. I’m sure I’ve shot less then a thousand rounds through it, maybe close to that by now but I’ve tried putting silicone oil in it a few times and even let it sit for a bit so it could drip down the tube and soak into the piston but still having this issue… Anyone have any ideas?
