Glad to hear it , yes there are a lot of tinkerers out there and air guns fits that bill perfectly / only problem is its a Huge money pit -rabbit hole and air guns are addicting sport between buying guns and going thru them and scopes / eventually it leads rite into the PCP world , it took me a long time before I started getting into a pcp air rifle and set up / we become kids again waiting for the brown truck to deliver are new gun LOL

Thank you for another extremely valuable video, Mike. I vote for long videos with lots and lots of detail. You could re-edit a highlights version of long videos, but I think your audience predominantly prefers more detail. Actually, I seek out the longest videos, because I can relax more and learn more and spend less time clicking and seeing ads. Long videos for technical topics are the best. Your content contains extreme value, so it would be a shame to lose any of that knowledge and experience in the creation of shorter videos. ... Anyhow .. it was great to see a fresh video from you. I was able to find some time to at least make a really nice custom-cut-foam Pelican case for one of my Hatsan 125 25 cals. (It shares the case with a Gamo Magnum GR 22 cal.) Well I did have some time to clean barrels, but mostly it has been making cases. I'm looking forward to getting into the internals, with your guidance and help, as soon as I get moved. At least now it is easy to transport my air guns with me and have them ready to enjoy when the opportunity presents itself and also to protect them for the long term. At least the 125 got a great cleaning and a little more breaking in and careful lubing and oil treating and a top-of-the-line foam home. I put the cheapo Optima scope on it .. but only because I cannot decide what scope to get for the final and I'm saving that for after I move. Cheers!

I use Hawke Airmax scope ,I make sure the scope is zeroed then when mounted I shoot at a dot at17yds and see how far off the point of impact is then if its is not with in 1" I will bend the barrel so that I hits that dot that keeps the scope reticle at its center where it is the strongest

Hi, I'm a weirdo. I want to replace my gas ram with a spring setup. I got an F4 so that I could have a knock around .177. I had no idea it was going to be this hard to cock and have a kick that might even threaten my Hawk scope. Frankly if I had he money I'd get an R7 as I don't plan on hunting or doing any long distance shooting with it. Anyway. What would I need to convert my F4 to a springer, and where might I get the parts. Thanks for your great videos! Lawrence

  • @MrSteppingstone888

Hi Steve I do not / hatsan vorteck rams can be filled because they are made that way but a lot are not refillable. If a gas ram is refillable then you will need the special adapters that they may make for it. However hatsan made their gas rams so you can fill them with a fill probe that is connected to your PCP pump or PCP compressor here is what the probes looks like . it slides thru a opening at end of ram the O rings seal off each side in the center of that opening then air pressurizes the gas ram opening up the built in check (see link) its is similar to how they are filling this pcp rifle kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKWO06ahmbHVZag.html

Why would you want to gas ram an air rifle when they explode I've tried both and a yellow ox spring made in the UK is far superior and no I have had no guns been destroyed by an ox in 30years less cocking effort than a gas ram and more power and are not the same as a strut on a car with a damper in them stick with a coil fellas they don't blow gun to bits

Gas rams do not exsplode. most are filled to 150 bar fill and a few custom filled one maybe to 170 bar, BTW there is no gas in them it is air or nitrogen incase you did not know. they will leak due to internal failure but not exsplode
