I gained one really important thing from Sam that is never clicked from listening to other people talk about the gym. I feel too sore or too fatigued, the first thing I do is reflect on my sleep, hydration and calories. Whereas before I used to just try to alter my training to match my recovery. Lately, it has really clicked with me to put a lot more emphasis on recovery techniques as part of my training regimen.

I wish I was on the cutting programme... Just documented a ridiculous bulk to 300lbs :)

Everytime Sam says he’s going to add something more to the video, he forgets. Makes me laugh everytime. I also go ‘no you won’t you’ll forget’, and then the viewo ends. 😂 Never change dude

So I just want to address something on here about the fact that people say that Sam is breathing hard, specifically when posing. I have been bodybuilding non-professionally for about 27 years and ironically enough I've never spent hardly any time at all posing except for your normal front double bicep or something like that every once in awhile in the mirror to myself. But basically I've never really posed before or practiced it which sounds strange for someone that's been bodybuilding for 27 years. I just mainly been doing it for myself and never really got into the posing thing. But, I recently I've gotten inspired too start cutting a bit which I've also never done and start learning how to pose. O my..... I didn't realize how much energy and effort came with posing. I find it somewhat harder/more intense to pose for just seconds than to do my normal intense one set of incline dumbbell press. It's crazy how tired and exhausting posing is. So my conclusion from the people saying that he's always out of breath And it must be the steroids is that they have never posed before. And I know it gets easier the more you do it, But it is extremely exhausting and I am huffing and puffing much more than Sam after just a minute of doing a single pose. It's crazy how much endurance you have to have and I have a whole new respect for bodybuilders that are on stage posing for all that time. At this point I say it's much harder than lifting weights and that's crazy for me to say because I think I bleed in the gym.

Good post and this is definitely the truth... Must say, you have a fantastic physique bro and surprised you haven't competed and had cause before to do all the posing haha... I have competed 13 times so very familiar with all that and how exhausting it is! What I will say though, is that if you're in condition you don't have to flex as hard as people think you do - the good pose is more in hitting the angle right and transition than the hard flex. Found myself very out of breath in my video the other day on hitting the 300lbs bulking goal haha :)

I love it when Sam says he’ll come back and never does. He’s the classic let me call you right back in mid conversation and never does.😅

i love how sam's training has evolved and even tho still trains with the heart of an old school meathead, now embraces certain concepts of science based lifting (the s/o the dr mike). perfect balance
