I gotta say, as much as I consider myself less likely to judge a book by its cover than most people (probably not even true), I had a negative view/opinion of Sam even though I had never heard him speak. After watching several of his videos, I like this guy, Not sure exactly what I expected, but I really like this guy. I can definitely see the appeal and why he has so many followers/subs. I would even say people who do not even lift would like this guy.
Love what your saying regarding timings Sam, it’s definitely helped me with set times and a repetitive plan to help digestion as I struggle with high calories💪keep up the good shit champ

18:44 think you could get this best of both worlds you mentioned here on the same variation if you take just 1-2 steps forward from your normal starting position on those standing straight up front flys, which would have the cables pulling the shoulders back just slightly when arms are out, also aiding in keeping the chest pushed out and forward during the stretched position

Bro the bulk crash is REAL!!!. 5 months ago, was at 294lbs, roughly 20%bf. I wasn't eating like crap but I did eat calorie dense things like cheeses. Red meats, a lot of ground beef, etc. my maintenance for that weight was roughly 3800-4000cal. during one week in the middle of that bulk 5 months ago, I messed up on the calories department for a few days. Messed up the bulk so I've decided to take it back a notch. And in case you're wondering, I get 5 miles in, conversational pace cardio 4 days a week and have one day for high intense conditioning for 30 min. I include it into my split. But yeah you crap the bed on calories during the middle of a bulk, its kinda hard to keep scarfing down those calories. Sometimes you just gotta take a little step back and you will eventually bounce back.

I was always a very shitty dieter until I started watching your vids. Don’t know why or how but hearing you explain counting macros just resonated with me more than anyone else that has explained it to me in the past 😂 2 months into tracking and I’m leaning out more than ever even with some treats. True on the hunger signals / appetite level. If I let myself stay feeling too hungry I get killer headaches and feel nauseated. I stay hydrated, and I do all the tricks to make it seem like I have more food than I do but sometimes it’s rough. But I have 0 problem gaining or keeping weight on 😅 My maint calories is only 1500 though so those food tricks get very important.

I keep going between 230 and 270 throughout the year. My mom says I do the “yo-yo” diet. The problem is my body fat % is probably 30 something %. I can 1 rep max 325 planet fitness bench press and 3 sets of 10 reps of 225 non-incline bench, I do recumbent bike 1 hour per day 3 days a week. I think the problem is my diet, harder to count calories when your staple of food is various cultural Filipino food. Or maybe that’s just an excuse. I’m working on it. I just did chest today, so it’s nice to watch your vid on the same day. Thanks Sam
