Spring Cultivations & Seed Drilling

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This video gives a good overview of our Spring cultivation and seed drilling process at Warter Priory Estate.
We start off with the Fendt 939 Vario pulling our Kverneland 10 furrow plough. Next we move onto our Challenger CAT 765C pulling the Vaderstad NZ Aggressive 8.0m cultivator. Following on from this you see our Fendt 939 with dual wheels pulling the Alpego D-Max 600 6.0m power harrow. Onto the main event, our Challenger CAT 775E drills the Spring seed with the Vaderstad Rapid 800C 8.0m seed drill. Finally, we roll the drilled land with the Fendt 724 Vario with dual wheels and the Vaderstad 12.0m rollers.
Warter Priory is a world class farming operation set in the heart of East Yorkshire amidst 12,000 acres. At Warter, we pride ourselves on our reputation for quality and efficient farming. The main crops we focus on growing are wheat, barley and oilseed rape. We also grow peas in partnership with Birds Eye and some of our land is used for growing potatoes.

***** Hahaha ohh right!! I had a doubt in my mind with the slow-mo bit of the cultivator, but I thought that could have been a different camera on your s1000. I recently got a Phantom 3 Advanced in the sales for personal use and its amazing, I dread to think how awesome the P4 is!! Yes, I don't fully know how it would compare to the Inspire, maybe you could do some back to back tests when everything calms down a bit - both weather wise and work/farm wise!! :)

  • @meteorshower8160

***** Yes, that will always be the benefit of a smaller craft. The Inspire should always win the higher winds due to its greater size. Not sure which one you meant on the cameras are the same. The camera on the P4 is an upgrade to any of the previous Phantoms, including the P3 Professional. See the link about what changes have been made: www.dji.com/products/compare-phantom . Looking forward to more footage off any craft!! :-)

How many cultivations/ploughs do you do in a field before you put the seeder through? Seems like you're going through the field a lot before actually seeding. We plant our wheat directly into the stubble.

  • @WarterPrioryEstate

I am curious about farm ownership in England. Does the church own the land and you work for them or is this property that was purchased over time or is this a royal land grant to a family a long time ago?
