Challenger 775E Pulling Vaderstad 8m Drill

Ойын-сауық

This week we were lucky enough to test the brand new Cat Challenger 775E. It is the latest tracked vehicle from Agco and it is amazing. The new Cat Challenger 775E boasts a massive 9.8L diesel engine which outputs an impressive 400 horsepower.
We needed to make sure we tested it properly so we also borrowed the latest Vaderstad 8 metre Rapid 800C drill to pull behind it.
Together, these two make an excellent team. For the short time we used it, we managed to drill 35 acres an hour travelling at an average speed of 17.2kmh. As a comparison, our own CAT 765C pulling the Vaderstad 6m in the same field was drilling at a rate of 20 acres per hour, travelling only 13.5kmh. For both these tests we were drilling spring barley.
Warter Priory is a world class farming operation set in the heart of East Yorkshire amidst 12,000 acres. At Warter, we pride ourselves on our reputation for quality and efficient farming. The main crops we focus on growing are wheat, barley and oilseed rape. We also grow peas in partnership with Birds Eye and some of our land is used for growing potatoes.
This video was filmed using the DJI Inspire One quadcopter. It was edited in Final Cut Pro X. The music in this video is Red Sky by Dan Phillipson.

Another great video, 35 acres a day was good going when I used to do the drilling. That was about 25 years ago, marvelous how things have improved. Most jobs have a seat on now, in my day there was still a lot of hand work. Keith.

+Warter Priory Estate The belts do a lot more hours than tyres do and get a lot more grip than tyres and lot less ground compaction to only 3% slip 3% ground pressure pulling our ripper and ,our MT865 18 litre cat motor has done nearly 6000 hrs on its first set of belts and that's pulling a 8 mtr pull ripper ripping with 25 tynes 14 inches deep at 8.0 klmtrs per hour ripping ground to put beds up for cotton planting.,and i dont think the challengers will be as good of a tractor now with the agco motors fitted in them the agco motors are small bore short stroke motors and rely on heaps of blow from twin turbos, where as the cat motors have the cubic inches built into the motors plus turbo that gives them heaps of toque and lugging power.there trying to push to much horsepower out of that mt775.E only 9.8 litre 7 cylinder twin turbo.s at 400 crankshaft HP. I think.

***** Yeh ok ,that MT775 E 400 horsepower is crankshaft horsepower .you can take off 70 to 100 h p for the drawbar horsepower.nebraska tests of MT775 E are 300 to 320 drawbar horsepower under load fully weighted up.lot of farmers here in australa are having a lot of trouble with them since they started putting agco motors there having a lot of trouble with electrics in them ,like A/C compressors,A/C fan motors stuffing up alternator failures, AGCO are building the challengers now because caterpillar dont want to run that ad blue shit in there cat motors in the challengers, plus electrical wireing harness problems..And what horsepower is the cat challenger with the cat motor?mabe its only a MT765C.?if so it has got a smaller horsepower motor in it.if it was a MT855C CAT which is 430crankshaft HP.as we've got one of them it pulls a 12 meter hilling tool bar.the CATMT865 andCATM 875 challengers have 6 cylinder 18 litre cat motors big bore long stroke motors, in them lots of torque.the agco mt 855,865and 875 have16 litre V12 twin turbo small bore short stroke motors so they can get enough blow and fuel into them to get the same power as cat motor ones have or had, give me a cat any day are well tried and proven over years and years for reliability over a agco motor challengers.
