A Year On Our Farm
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
2014 was a great year at Warter Priory. It is also the year we got our UAV, which allowed us to film our operation from above. This video showcases the best clips we have managed to capture throughout the year.
We start off ploughing. This is either done with one of our Fendt tractors or one of our our CAT Challenger 765C tracked vehicles. We have a Kverneland 10 furrow plough and two Lemken 7 furrow ploughs.
After ploughing comes cultivating. Again, we either use one of our Fendt tractors or the CAT Challenger again. In this video, the cultivating is done with our Great Plains Simba Cultipress. It is 6.6m wide.
Next we move onto drilling. This year we did it all with our Vaderstad Rapid A 600C. This was pulled by one of our CAT Challengers. You will also see the Case Quadtrac 620 - we managed to borrow this for a few days and it really could pull!
For fert spreading, we use an Amazone ZA TS 4200 spreader. For spraying we have three Bateman RB55 36m sprayers. All of our tramlines are 36m.
The climax of the year is harvest. For this we use four Claas Lexion 580 combines. They all have 30 ft headers and work really well for us. We tried to get a video of all 4 working together but the opportunity never arose… we will try again in 2015!
Finishing up with baling - we use J.W. Evison & Sons. They are local baling contractors and we had three of their balers this year. Finally the bales are taken away by one of two Big Bale Transtackers - a very efficient way for us to move this quantity of bales.
Warter Priory is a world class farming operation set in the heart of East Yorkshire amidst 12,000 acres. At Warter, we pride ourselves on our reputation for quality and efficient farming. The main crops we focus on growing are wheat, barley and oilseed rape. We also grow peas in partnership with Birds Eye and some of our land is used for growing potatoes.
This video was shot using a mixture of GoPro Hero 3+ cameras and the Canon 5D MKII. All the aerial footage was captured using our DJI S1000 UAV or our DJI Phantom 2 UAV.

Thanks, is an amazing video! You have big machines ☺
Love the footage. Captivating/great use of the drone and the title of the video sucks u in. Congrats on the farmers who are still making it happen and to the professional filmmakers who took time to shoot, edit and produce this
Well done, super shots of excellent field work. The scale of the operation is rather larger than anything in we would have in Northern Ireland. I trust you have a good 2015 at Warter.

nice vid lads maybe you could upload more often:) 11/10
1) I believe those two guys (or gals) have done that turn around a few times before. 2) Tractors on tracks look funny.

They definitely had a bit of practice
I grew up on a ketchup farm in Mississippi. We would go out all day and dig up bottles of ketchup then sell them by the side of the road for 10 dimes, which most people just call a dollar now. It wasn't till I was 18 that my pappy told me there's no such thing as a ketchup farm, he was buying those bottles in town and burying them in the middle of the night just to give us something to do the next day. They cost him two dollars a bottle, so we were losing a solid dollar every bottle, plus the time spent digging them up and him sneaking out every night to bury them.
Wow, it's Rival Regions!
Nice 5/5
great video and music was relaxing but how much field do u have

That's literally what farming simulator 2017 looks like on my game
Awesome. Would love to work here.
Great video! Just wondered which challengers you run, any 865??
great agri
Do you spray your wheat to burn it back before harvest?
Its funny how rappers always brag about their money and cars, yet farmers are driving tractors worth twice as much as their Lamorghinis or Ferraris XD. Loved the video btw.

What kind of Väderstad seeders where that?
Excellent video series. Like the machine names Grange, Tythe, and Priory. From tractor standpoint I see the quadtrac had some issues in former comment. How about the Deere, Fendt, Challenger, and NewHolland? Not to get into a brand battle, but you don't see too many operations get that much exposure. Keep up the good work! - Gene - AGCO Corp Tech Support
Dancing Fendts ...
very good video, from my opinion one of the best farming vids on youtube. it is a dream of mine to start a farm myself, but first finishing school... if you guys ever need some help i would love to help you ;) greeting from holland, Bryan

Those lads with the bale chasers get a lick on don't they! Just out of interest, why don't you use a chaser bin? Do you subsoil all the wheelings or do the tines on the cultipress do the job just as well? As always though, brilliant video and brilliant flying/camera work!
Using GPS I presume? How else could you go so damn straight.

Thats one big farm! Do you rent the vehicles or do you own them? Tractors and suchs are really expensive nowdays
do you have gps on every tractor/combine/etc?
I drive the same challenger at our field
excellent , as diesel head , and someone who enjoys systems , really well done and think I will have to look at a uav as well . excellent perspective , do you have livestock enterprises as well ?
good
NIce :)
Exelent video. Does anyone here know where I coud find a book with the whole process explained in detail?
excellent videos. Great work there! Most of your machines are automated and gps guided i guess..?
Can I ask at 1.35 in the video the tractor is cultivating but seems to be leaving a width of cultivated land between the next uncultivated area. Why is this?

Jonathan Woolliscroft its so he turn economically at the headland. using sat nav you can leave the exact machine width and pick it up the next time around
Where are you from Sir

I'm wondering a thing. You've got a fleet of only Fendt tractors, how's that you've got one John Deere? Do you need that John Deere for a specific job, was it a really good deal or something else? Thanks :)
