How easy for a man with visiting visa that wanna change to spouse PR in Canada while in Canada

I'm considering finding a wife in a Rohingya refugee camp - Bangladesh. Through some mild research and contacting lawyers and immigration, it seems that a spousal sponsorship - from Outside Canada - would be the best course of action. Seeing that such an individual is; "Stateless", without proper ID, and from an impoverished nation - from which they fled, I need all the help and advice I can get! So far, the biggest hurdle I can foresee is the difficulty of getting them a Canadian VISA in order to get into the country. I've read that trying to obtain an ITD may be the best course of action. Although, I have no idea of how a refugee would obtain an ITD. My idea seems daunting, though I'm positive it can be done. I just need teh right advice on what the person should apply for : refugee/spousal visa. Help! +1

Hello sir, Right now i am in canada. I was just completed my study in skilled trade in canada and right now i got my work permit. Now am working in manufacturing company as a machine operator and machine operator is comes in C category in terms of NOC coad. So now i want to sponsor my wife here. She lives in India. 2 years if you are lucky maybe 1 year . I have to wait for 2 years and just I have the appointment for my interview . Every time I called the immigration they said to me : You not need interview and they check my background but , after you need interview also they seeing , the process is in a year but my is 24 months and I'm still waiting for my interview in this month , after ? I don't know . Good luck !

Unfortunately, this is not possible under the Family Class. Options for sponsoring adult siblings are virtually non-existent. You would likely need to qualify under a different pathway to permanent residence in Canada.

Mie Paac to get a sponsor from Canada is not cup of tea. It's almost impossible. What i am suggesting you is " Give General IELTS exam, get 6.5 band, apply for the PR from Canadian immigration official website. Show your all work experience. It will take at least 1 year to process and all. After you get PR you can directly fly to Canada. Thank you.

That is why canada does not have a fiancee visa because they dont want their people got scam by anyone outside the country just for the PR. Your sponsor should have a geniune relationship with you.

Lydia Martinez absolutely. You would first need to be sponsored for Permanent Resident status in Canada and then provided you meet the qualifications for Canadian citizenship (actually live in Canada with your spouse) you may be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship. One of the most attractive features of Canadian PR status is that while travelling outside of Canada with your Canadian spouse, every day spent outside of Canada is considered a day spent inside Canada for PR purposes.
