Spotlight on Cash-In-Transit heists in SA
According to the Cash-In-Transit Association of SA, 217 CIT robberies occurred nationally between January and August 2023.
On Friday four suspected cash-in-transit robbers were killed in a shootout with police at a house in KwaMashu in the north of Durban.
They are believed to have been involved in a number of cash-in-transit heists in the area, recently. Just yesterday robbers cornered and blew up yet another cash-in-transit vehicle along the N12 near Diepkloof, Soweto.

Yes, this guy knows his story. Cash in transit guys are not necessarily a gang but people who cooperate to plan out a crime and then each goes his way. There might be two or three friends
