So santa took a kitten for a whole year, and then decided to give him back, but once the kitten was there, turned into an owl, stole his only possession/id, led him to the middle of nowhere, gave him his Id back, tuned into a racoon, tricked him into buying 3 orphans for the id he just got back, and then left him to die in a blizzard.

Ah, yes, the movie about Santa trying to cope with his guilty conscience after being a negligent pet owner, almost killing his pet & then rehoming his cat on Christmas... Such a classic story.

i have nEVER been more upset about anything in my life. This story doesn't make sense because its a RIPOFF of my favorite childhood storybook EVER and it had barely anything to do with Santa (and definitely nothing to do with a farm). Mistletoe was a HERO who almost dies in a blizzard to get three helpless kittens to safety on Christmas night because he grew up on the streets and didn't want that life for the kittens he found. He takes those kittens onto his back and trudges on for MILES without questioning it for a moment because he was *kind* and *selfless* and an *angel*. I got that book in 2007 and 13 years later I STILL can't help but bawl my eyes out when I read it. or even think about that absolute king (I'm literally tearing up writing this. its a little ridiculous). They did my baby Mistletoe so dirty in this movie I cannOT handle it lmao. MY mistletoe would never need a whole song to warm up to three kittens in need. If you see this I'm BEGGING you to read the dumb little children's picture book and forget this movie exists. It's called The Legend of *Mistletoe* and the Christmas Kittens by Joe Troiano sorry for the emotional response I am PASSIONATE about this children's book lmao.

Danny, pumpkins don't rot as fast when they're not carved. When you carve a pumpkin, it's hollow, and it rots more easily.

Theory: Since when we see Santa shapeshift into the racoon and owl at the end, notice how the racoon is first, not santa. I'm probably wrong, but what if Santa and the owl where the RACOON the whole time, instead of Santa being the owl and racoon? idk, maybe, we may never know.

This is true. I’ve been working for a few years to try and put together a lore book, but it’s so complex and has so many different folds that I just can’t.

The voice actor for Mistletoe is the same as Buster Baxter from the PBS kids show Arthur and I can’t unhear it, he has such a distinctive voice

@@awkwardotter13 Actually making an attempt to rehome cats is better than just dumping them on the side of a road. Obviously it’s not the best situation,but a cat being raised in a home where it’s not loved is bad for the cat and the owner.

Yes, while my siblings always begged for a puppy, I would beg my parents not to get one. We had a cat that was pretty chill, but I was in high school, very stressed out trying to get straight A's, and all my siblings were much younger than me, so I knew I would have to train and take care of it and I just didn't have the energy. Never buy someone a pet as a gift unless you're sure they want one and can handle it, also don't get a pet for yourself unless you're ready to handle the responsibilities.

WAIT THEY STOLE THIS STORY! there’s a children’s book called mistletoe and the christmas kittens, and the cat mistletoe looks just like the cat from this movie. (EDIT: my bad, i did some reasearch and people in the comments are letting me know, they didn't steal it the pumpkin books and the cat books are written by the same person. and the movie is produced by the same person, so they didn't steal it.)
