When you said Ween made a song for Spongebob, there is a 0% chance I would’ve guessed they made _Loop De Loop_ of all songs. I don’t know what I would’ve guessed, but I know that _Loop De Loop_ was a the end of the list and that every other Spongebob song was on there multiple times. Expecting a certain style from Ween is very much antithetical to Ween lol. There's really a lot you can say about Ween though that's not mentioned. Like that time they decided to release a Country album because why not. Or when they snuck into private storage to "borrow" Carlos Santana's guitar and AMP so they could play the main riff in Transdermal Celebration without him knowing. They're as eclectic a band as they come and listening to an album of theirs for the first time is always a roller coaster of brown and multiple genres.

People praise Bowie for reinventing himself with every album. Ween reinvented themselves with every song.

SpongeBob is so nostalgic for me, not just because I watched it all the time as a child, but it just reminds me of growing up in a coastal state. And it’s not only that it reminds me of the ocean, it just encapsulates the vibe of aquarium employees that would enthusiastically answer any questions you had and give you shiny trinkets like you’re a crow. I never really pieced that together as a kid, but now I’m not surprised he worked in an aquarium. Everything about him and his show embodied the places i adored when i was young

Fun fact: Our school did a marine biology fieldtrip. Turns out the boat we were on was the same one that Stephen Hillenburg when he was still studying marine biology.

The first 3 seasons of Spongebob are nothing short of magical. I know people who DIDN'T grow up with it, are functioning adults, got shown the show and fell in love with it on the spot. It's just really freaking good television. Ween is just friggin fantastic of course, and knowing that they're intertwined like that is just...Really flippin' neat. Thanks noodle, keep doin you. This vid has some insane production value, props!

Even as i knew it was a joke, the hedgehog ringtone ad made me feel like i left reality for a moment. That really was a real cottage industry for a while, and a thing we paid for.

I love Ween, to anybody wanting a place to start: most fans agree The Mollusk and White Pepper are both perfect starter albums for new listeners. If you're into it, then you will love Quebec, Chocolate and Cheese, and 12 Golden Country Greats. If you want more then you got plenty of the earlier and later discography to dig through, including some of the more "brown" tracks. By then you'll learn everything they make is amazing in it's own way. Good luck, and God help you by the time you reach The Pod.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that you purposely made your mic quality a bit worse, the clarity of the video a little grainier, and made the aspect ratio the same as what it was when the old ass SpongeBob episodes would air back in the day to give this whole video a SUPER nostalgic feel. Absolute art man.

The way this video is presented is perfect btw. Very few would've actually gone the mile and edit a video about a 90's to early 2000's cartoon and band and actually make the video FEEL like that time period. The 4:3 aspect ratio, the somewhat poor audio and video quality, as well as the bumpers and commercial bits. Made me very happy

Not gona lie, this is Noodle's best video so far, from the production, animation and breaking down the history of Spongebob, the video was so well done that I almost cried at the end because Stepehen passed away from us, if I had a wish right now, I would've wished to re-experience the first time I watch Spongebob and enjoy the old episodes when I was a kid😢 Be proud of yourself Noodle!👍❤

Y'know what I find funny about this video? I was so engrossed in it that it caught me off guard when it ended. Literally. Momentarily I couldn't believe 16 minutes had passed already, and I immediately restarted the video to watch it again. This is something I haven't done... an emotion I haven't experienced... since I was 5 years old, rewinding my Spongebob cassettes to watch them over and over again, and laugh as hard and smile as big every time. Dude, the pier excitement that I got on my face when I saw this video pop up on my timeline, I've been listening to Ween since October of 2023 because of SpongeBob, First listening to The Mollusk, then moving to Quebec and that album is what made me just, LOVE this band so much, first listening to I don't want it, that's when I realized I found the music I've been looking for, eventually moving onto most of their discography. Seeing someone talk about this unique and awesome band just puts a big ol' smile on my face. Thank you Noodle!

I found the Ween album Quebec in my college bookstore in 2007 and picked it up because I liked the album art. I was an instant fan. So cool to learn that they had such an influence on one of my favorite cartoons of all time. Thanks for this cool and awesome video!

Honestly, the beginning of the vid felt like old KZread poop and it immediately set me in the right mood for the whole thing. It's crazy how nostalgia can get you like that. And classic SpongeBob will always have a special place for me in that era. One he arguably made what what it is. Frankly, Ween is like this missing piece that just makes the whole thing better.

Noodle, this is a wonderful video. I grew up watching spongebob and saw the movie in theatres. Thank you for giving me more information about one of my favorite childhood shows.

Anytime I hear Ocean Man in the context of having rewatched The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, based on how that series impacted me as a child AND THEN how Ween impacted me as a teenager, it never fails to swell me up with so many intense emotions. @@thecianinator no you’re right, they don’t. In fact nobody loves me, nor has loved me ever in my life. After squeezing me out my mother abandoned me in the incubator, and my father is a yeti. The nurses were sickened by my appearance so I was banned from the nicu, and subsequently the hospital. The only defense mechanism I’ve developed is to annoy anyone that has the displeasure of interacting with me, I have no true friends. I am tolerated out of pity and you seeing through the facade has really made me stop and reflect on my life choices thus far.

I still remember being 10, watching the premiere sneak peak after the ‘99 Kids Choice Awards. It felt like a big deal, but didn’t connect for me at the time. Now I’m ready to watch 3 seasons and a movie.

i had no idea a 90's prog rock band that I didn't really know existed essentially wrote the soundtrack to a significant part of my childhood. Absolute banger vid noodle thanks for doing it

I loved the style of this video. The audio being that slightly grainy audio from the early 2000’s ads was peak.

30 seconds in and I got an urge to subscribed before you even started talking, didn't know why. 4:20 seconds in and some random ass commercials start playing before the ad read, something I thought about doing if I ever made youtube videos and had sponsors. I feel like this video has proven that method of doing ad reads is a goddamn good way of doing it. Subscribing purely for that. And to think, if I never had restless limb syndrome, looked up "I'm in the mood to move" by Ween after reading the symptoms, I probably wouldn't have found this video. Glad to see some ween praise, glad to see the extra ad's during the ad read gives off the vibes I expected, and I'm also glad I could type all this out, it really helped with my restless limb syndrome. It was in the shoulder this time, never been there before

Video genuinely brought a happy tear to my eye towards the end. Great video, loved the little animation blurbs, it was funny and I liked it. Good shit :)
