Wandering around the abdomen we find the spleen. Let's have a look at the anatomy of this organ (and talk a little about its functions, and what might go wrong with the spleen).

during in class lectures you only retain about less than half of what was discussed, you need to study again at home, 2 hours for every hour of lecture to maximize retention, this is where you come in. Most of the time in laboratory , an average student would have just been focusing on the lecture side to ingest more info for lab so the learning in lab is somewhat delayed which is why looking at your videos come in handy.I know this is confusing but average students will get it. So believe me that your videos are not only amazing and fun to watch but they really help! I hope you dont stop making more videos for students.

I really like how you are able to remove organs and show us where they all are located in 3D. I found your video because I was searching to see what was directly above my left side pelvis that was hurting a little. So it looks like it's not an organ, thank God, but muscles; probably from my struggling, lifting my boat to hang out the back of my truck yesterday after crabbing in Birch Bay, WA.

LeMasterYi I disagree regarding the „you have to read the books“ thing because I actually learn most things by watching videos. Reading is just not my thing and tbh I‘ve done quite good so far 🤷🏼‍♀️ and now that we can‘t get in the lab because of the virus, watching such videos has become even more important to me. Greetings from a fellow gamer btw (although I never liked LoL but it‘s nice to find other people interested in medicine and gaming :D )

Valeaves - Jalomir I watch a lot of medical videos but I also read the books.Videos never cover 100% of the topic. The book always has lots of extra informations and covers everything in more details. Sam Webster for example. His videos are very helpful because they give you a guide and teach you the basics but they never teach you the complete anatomy of a certain body part. When you read it on the book you will find more in depth explanations. You should also observe and analyse slowly every part by yourself.Watch it in every angle and find every connection to truly learn and understand something. If you only study from the videos you will never fully learn something you will be missing some knowledge.Always read the books and love them. Studying medicine is very hard and requires sacrifices.Keep studying hard my friend I wish you a lot of success in your path. Cheers fellow gamer.Though I am not a gamer anymore.I used to play a lot in high school but after I started medical colledge I have been playing very little ,only when I find some free time hahaha.

Areesha Bano Yeah the videos are very good for teaching you the basics and for helping you visualize the basic concept of a subject.Though the deep details can be learned only by reading the books or by self-analysis.

Hello sir, i'm a general surgeon from Algeria and i find your videos very useful. I watch them as a part of my continuous formation. So thank you very much. I want to correct a little mistake in the 12'30, when you talk about the origin of the greater omentum, you said it runs from the greater "omentum" instead of "curvature". I know it's a lapsus but for young students it may be confusing. Keep doing your stuff, you're very good at it. Thank you again.
