I like how the justification of this DLC being infinitely replayable is just Order trying again and again to grayscale the world. It's a good parallel to Octavio stealing the Zapfish again and again, except Octavio finally knocked it off.

According to the lore Octarians were abducted and mind controlled by TarTar so it would make sense to why they’re reskinned. They’re supposed to be ‘zombies’ or something I do agree though. The bosses here seem more unique and more fitting to the games theme.

weird take but Rondo is actually my favourite boss of this expansion. it has no safe zones, soft stealth mechanics, and your targets are very dynamic despite it being technically a stationary boss. also the sound design is ridiculous and i love it.

@@Deltadog55 I’m honestly sort of surprised because octo expansion was way eerier overall for me. Side order feels very underwhelming in that regard, the story feels rushed and unfinished. If side order took place in a mindscape (such as the trauma ridden mind of agent 8) then my view on it would be much different, but even then it still feels underwhelming, especially with the bosses. Instead we got “Teehee it’s a computer simulation Marina made!” and that just felt so… basic

Not gonna lie, i thought the big bad of the dlc was gonna be Tartar, having come back from the dead in cyberspace, given the focus on Off the Hook and Agent 8.

Honest to god this boss keeps me up at night in the best way possible. The voice has the most DISTRESSING sound to it that feels so alien to the splatoon we know. It sounds like a wind up baby doll put through a meat grinder. Like maybe a recording the machine had and thats all it has to communicate. It just keeps replaying it. But what creeps me out the most is when it sounds like crying during the bomb rush/wail rush. What in the FRESH HELL is happening there. I love it

@@venomousraga It's not that long, it's 1-2 one run, and the "true ending" doesn't really change anything and that's like... 8-13 hours max; depending on how good you are. And to get you're basically replaying it over for 12 times, nowhere close to 24 hours, so yes, I would expect them to beat this game in a day span

One design had him as a large blender with human eyes and teeth and another was a mechanical spider like design that shows him coming out of the phone which in the concept seemed to just be a facade and was using it as a disguise for his real body. Something that was changed to him just being the phone itself. There's plenty of videos covering it.

OH. MY. GOD. This game is WAY too punk. After Order made the world blank, the screen had just one symbol: the monad. The Monad represents origin and self contained existence. It’s a philosophical concept and I can’t believe it’s in Splatoon.

I was NOT expecting the rhythm game section to appear. It’s probably the best part, before the vibrant battle.

Hm, this was a very well done Compilation, good job. I gotta say, this was a very interesting DLC, in more ways than one, The Story was pretty fascinating and so were the Bosses, i really do appreciate that Side Order didn’t go the same Route as Octo Expansion did with it’s Bosses and actually had it’s own unique Bosses. Also i feel like this DLC had the best Boss Themes in the entire Series so far, By the way, aside from the First and Final Bosses, it seemed like the Game just had you go straight into the Boss without a presentation or an introduction or any kind of Cutscene whatsoever, it just had you go straight to the Fight, as interesting as I think that was, was that due to you already having done the Bosses before or is that how it is when you first do the Bosses too? Side-Note: i guess we can now refer to Agent Eight as THE Main Protagonist of the DLC Stories, ‘cause they have now become the First Main Character of the entire Series who’s gotten to be Playable Twice, that was unexpected and interesting, Although, now i really wonder what’s been the deal with Agent 4 this entire Game? i hope we get to learn more about them at some point, Anyway, I am now very intrigued to see what will be next for this Series from here.

Now I know that Splatoon Single Story Modes would sometimes have disturbing background noises. Such as the boss level background noises for the First and Second Single Story Modes. And then there’s that dreaded Alterna Rocket Launch Intermission Music that sounds like it came STRAIGHT FROM “Everywhere at the End of Time”. Probably time stamps for the bosses and stuff but they are not too useful unlabeled

My god, that final boss was the hardest thing ever it gave my frustration, watch ClassicManD short titled till this day, and that’s how I felt when fighting Overlorder

would’ve loved to see marina as the final boss (kinda like callie) but fantastic dlc, just as good as octo expansion imo

Order's ACTUAL last form was easier than I thought it was probably bc his attacks were missing and failing alot

you mean the very last phase that is almost impossible to lose because you gain literally every color chip and exists more as a nice power trip and cutscene

Ngl my main strategy for the final boss was to get my super(super) fast then just spam the rocket launcher

Unfortunately true

As much as I loved Side Order. I would have wished for a bit more Lore for the sanitised Octolings. Like we get to see more of them and help them like Acht to become normal again. :/

I just realized the parallel cannon are like plastic parts of a model kits cool
