Spider-Man's Worst Enemy: Mr. Zodiac

Ойын-сауық

Sometimes Marvel allows outside parties to write for Spider-Man. The results are rarely good. This video takes a look at a Spider-Man story from Whitman Publishing's Big Little Book series, called Spider-Man Zaps Mr. Zodiac. Featuring a strange story and average artwork, it's unintentionally hilarious.

One of my favorite Zodiac facts is the origin of Cancer. Cancer was a crab who protected one of the creatures that Hercules slew during his trials. The crab pinched Hercules in a futile yet presumably adorable manner and Hercules stepped on him. Hera (I think) took pity on the crab and granted him eternal life in the stars.

Actually... in my youth the pizza places that were were plain and inconspicuous were slinging some of the best slices I ever ate. This was in the mid 80s - early 90s in NY and Toronto. These places always had no colour or two colours at most. Either the place was all white or white with a line of red here and there. lol No seats either. Well maybe a single table with 4 chairs but there would usually be a long counter people would stand and eat at. The guys producing the pizzas were always skinny olive skinned 30 somethings wearing thin white t-shirt and waste aprons with a pack of smokes tucked on their body somewhere. The guy taking the orders and manning the cash machine would be chain smoking like there's no tomorrow. LOL! This was the scene at all these types of places. I wish I could remember the names of any of those places. lol Like I said, they looked almost all the same and very plain in "decor". However, the pizzas.... Oh man! The pizzas. I'd pay a fortune to go back in time just to taste those slices again. Here in Toronto, the 2 places still open have changed drastically. Really they're NOT the places from my childhood, they are just new pizza shops where the old ones used to be. SIGH! Goddamn time. Haven't gone to NY in almost 20 years. I'm sure they still got some good old school pizzas.

Amazing video as always! I had to pause it many times cause I couldn't stop laughing so hard. I NEED that little book. Or at least a slice of those pizzas. About the Fernet Branca, that's a signature drink here in Argentina and you SHOULDN'T drink it pure! You mix it with a lot of Coke (about four fifths of Coke and one of Fernet) and ice. Try it like that and you're in for a treat!

At 18:00 the caption reads "Parking His Crate". No wonder you thought it was an odd looking car; it's actually a crate. What you are seeing in the picture is Peter using his imagination, as he sits in a crate, in his Aunt's driveway, pretending it's a car.

Hey man! Just in case you find this interesting: Mezcal and tequila are obtained from the same plant (agave) but have a few differences. Tequila is made using only blue agave, mezcal can be obtained from any agave. The name "tequila" is also a denomination of origin: Tequila is a region in Mexico, in the state of Jalisco. Only liquor extracted from blue agave in the region of Tequila may be called tequila. Mezcal, like whiskey (I guess) can be blended and like gin can be infused. There's looooooads of varieties, and can taste very differently from one batch to another. Love your show!

That pizza eating panel is so funny to me. The pizza slices are ridiculously huge, their sitting positions are weird and awkward, the text on the window, the chef is spinning the dough from inside the kitchen but the dough is outside? what is he doing. And then the caption, "Eating Pizza". Like yeah, we noticed.
