@@aidenchacon2943 it's a few years (probably 2 as i've heard) after the first. Miles has grown taller and his shoulders have widened. He's taller than Gwen now, also his suit has changed along with gwens suit with changes as well. I don't know why you'd think it takes place after the first one, nothing implies that. Literally nothing said that the portal opening in the first movie took place after he became the official new spider-man of his universe. If anything YOU are the one tripping. Even Gwens shoes changed.

Just came back from watching this movie. And I gotta say it was one of my greatest movie experiences of my life. Everything was amazing and this movie really lived up to its hype. I’m so exited to see part 2. Can’t wait.

thing I love about this: There's a lot of changes between the scenes they showed, my favorite though? That interaction between Miguel and Miles wasn't even in the actual film, either changed or made solely for this first look, it's completely unique and I think that's amazing

The movie got delayed so I assume they scrapped ideas for it. But I'm 100% confident that this scene may happen in beyond the spider verse because the idea of Miguel chasing miles through various universes is way to cool to scrap completely.

Or because of how acclaimed the first one was, they felt the need to milk it. That's how it's been for most two parter films, but cause it's helmed by Lord and Miller I assume that's not the case.

I just need to take a moment to appreciate the details in this trailer 1. Gwen hasn't changed her hairstyle. 2. Miles looks more leaner than last time 3. His posters are somewhat similar to the last movie 4. Gwen wears sneakers now, similar to Miles which I think she didn't do in the first film. 5. When Miles enters India, his sound effects are written in Hindi. (Thwip is written in Devnagari) 6. The dial on 2099's reads 928. Spiderman 2099 comes from the dimension 928. 7. Miles has a questionable amount of underwear just floating around in his room.

@@d3arb0rns no. He’s a good guy. But he’s not a complete goody two shoes. He’s killed before. He slit the throat of vulture 2099 but it was an accident. But he’s a really well written character. A lot better than miles morales in terms of writing.

I like coming back to this and seeing how much has changed from the original teasers

Changes from the teaser and the movie: 1. Most of miles expressions in the first part changed. 2. 1st scene extended 3. Miles wearing 42 outfit 4. Gwen wearing jacket. 5. Miguel attacking miles and smashing him on the train was moved near the end. 6. Indian place was less cel shaded in the movie, and some glitchy effects were added to miles in the final movie. I may be missing some.

1:57 The animators did that they did animate a few Beyond the spiderverse scenes before they decided to split the movie into two parts so I think this is whole battle with Miguel and Miles travelling through different universes will be in the next movie

I don't think so, considering this is the previous version of Miles' suit and 2099's suit. I think this teaser was more of a "We're working on it don't worry" type of thing.

Ok so, i'm here after seeing the movie, and here's what i noticed (spoiler warning for the record) Apparently the original plan wasn't for gwen to have a bigger role and show her universe, it was actually to immediatly start after the 1st, since in the first, after miles swings through the city and makes his re-introduction, we can see him already grown up at the end with gwen's voice in the background. I believe something happened in the meantime, then he got grounded. In this version miles seems more, "electric and fast" since hes going all crazy taking the toys out of his room, unlike the final one where hes more chill about it and seems more mature. Another thing is that, we weren't going to actually see Spider man india on mumbai, we were meant to actually see miguel, chasing miles through multiverses, for no reason that we know of. (At least in this version of it) Gwen is also seen in different clothing and acts way different than in the final movie, and the drawing in miles's notebook weren't as much as the final, another thing to note, is that the original title had a "PART ONE" in it, it was prob scrapped to fit more on the trilogy side of things. I'd be interested in seeing what the original idea for the movie was, either way the movie was amazing, 11/10 already watched it 5 times, SONY TAKE MY MONEY.

As someone who animates and edits, does gfx design, and fiddles with sound a little bit, animated entertainment like Spiderverse and Arcane completely make my brain shut down. Knowing the thousands of hours and hours that go into each detail is mind boggling and I can't comprehend it. Even know it's a full team of people working on it doesn't make it any less impressive. I feel like as someone who got into this field of work recently, the appreciation I'm able to have for stuff like this is a million times higher than before, and now incomparable to someone who doesn't have much knowledge on this stuff. I can tell just from my experience now that certain scenes or animations that only appear for like 2-3 seconds and tends to goes unnoticed by the average watcher, probably still took hundreds of hours to make still by the person/people animating it, just for the love of the art.

I'm pretty sure they use a lot of the shots in the final chase scene of the film when they're climbing the thingy. They movie wasn't actually written yet at this stage in production and one thing I do know is that the entire India section was completely rewritten very late into production because apparently it was super bland and boring in the first draft.

The fact that we already had got a hint of this being split into two with the "Part One" being in this trailer and yet no one actually remembered that then getting absolutely livid when the cliffhanger dropped...I know that well because I was one of those losing it (just came back from watching the movie, damn it will be a long wait for this to finish)

Pretty much where they ripped this from. I don't mind it, but they gotta stop ripping off material from Peter. At one point they WILL have to write for Miles or he will get stale. The time piece is from the Spider-Gwen comic but they did preface this with 'in another another dimension.'

Seeing this after seeing the film is weird cz the interaction of miles n gwen is nothing like this in the final cut. But in the final film, its soo wholesome

1:54 to 2:10 ended up not being in THIS movie and none of the other marketing, I wonder if it’s a scene from beyond the spider-verse instead

After seeing this film, I can 100% say that if they made a video-game adaptation with this animation style unlike the (PlayStation games recently launched) they would absolutely kill it. It would be the greatest Spiderman game of all time!!

I mean to be fair those games are really damn good, and tell like the second best Spider-Man story (second to Spider-Verse of course) but yeah a game in that animation style would be amazing. Probably couldn't run well on a console though just based on how complex the models are with their hand drawn textures and shit

The ending of the first movie miles is In his dorm room and now he's at his home, gwens hair grown, and if this took place a few days after the film then miles wouldn't miss gwen because they just departed a few days but if it's been a while then it would make sense why miles misses Gwen. Idk though it just my thoughts but I'm definitely hyped about this

i love how you can even hear miguel's theme in this first look of the movie

I'm almost 50 years old and the first movie captured the spirit and energy of what I love about comics arguably better than anything I've seen, live-action or animated. This one looks like it's gonna be just as epic.

I love how Miles and Gwen look considerably older now, like they aren’t using the same character designs as in the first movie, but new, sleeker, older looking ones! My guess is that this takes place 1 year after movie one? Btw for those of you that don’t think that time has passed since the first movie, notice how they are both taller, Gwen’s hair is considerably longer, and Gwen remarks that “she missed him too” which implies some time has passed!

Miles is so relatable and really just makes the idea of Spider-Man, the most human, relatable superhero, work perfectly. And I just love how these two play off of each other. Spider verse was a masterpiece, I hope the sequel will be just as good if not better!

To be honest my favorite thing about miles is hes a black character who isnt poor or live in the ghetto. Feels like 99 percent of the time they bother to make a character black the character is required to be poor or a hood. Love him for the freshness he has of being a black average joe.

I’m pretty sure the fight scene was animated just for the teaser actually. It doesn’t… feel right as a part of the movie? Miles and Miguel are way too silent, and the reveal of Miguel is way too… casual. If this were meant to be part of the movie Miguel would be screaming at Miles about how he can’t run forever or something, Miles would be quipping or talking to himself, and Miguel showing up out of the portal would have been given a lot more dramatic impact.

I love how they decided to add a hug scene when Gwen meets Miles. It gives it more of an awkward moment between them instead of what happened in this trailer where when she came in it was like they only saw each other as friends. At least this one she didn't destroy his heart by opening that collectible.

I love how everything is so fluid, and how the art style has that cartoon feel but executed in animation so greatly. Definitely ready for this movie
