I agree with you. My only problem was that the model is stagnant. They tagged on little sound effects to a model of him in a textured skirt which remains rigid.

Literally one of the most jaw-dropping opening sequences in a video game ever O.o

2:00 to 2:30 is easily one of the greatest boss intros ever. Everything from the staging to the buildup was just so well executed.

Bro, what a beautiful intro. Let’s all just be grateful we are able to experience this game as spider fans! The way miles lands like a Superman was sick. They really nailed sandman

That very first part where they leap off the building and have to swing through the city to even get to the fight, that song, the conversation...might be one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a video game.

Now that's how you start off a game!

They literally made Sandman a literal GOD in this game.

I already knew i was gonna replay this game many times but during this battle i said " i want to replay this mission after i finish it" Cant wait to see how the story unfolds after work

Got goosebumps alongside the adrenaline when I played this for the first time! The Spider man openings that sony creates never disappoint.(Small pet peeve, they made the active car chases easier as I don’t have to spam click or time it to stop the vehicle. Those little details make it that much immersive but amazing game still!)

Best opening mission of a superhero game ever , had me on my feet ‼️

Each of Insomnia's Spider-man games started with a super villain fight. In the first game we fought Fisk, in Miles Morales Rhyno and in this game Sandman

I wasn’t expecting Sandman to be in the game. And I didn’t think that he was going to be the first boss 😂

Playing this to open was one of the craziest things to happen in video game history. Insomniac knows they have game of the year with this one

I’m not gonna watch (need to play the game for myself) but I love that this fight is 20 minutes instead of, say, 10 minutes or so 😌

Insomniac can definitely make some first missions FOR SURE!

New game plus got me appreciating this all over again. Miles lightning makes him look like a god

Its a really cool intro because it shows both Miles's unique powers compared to Peter and Pete's incredible intelligence as he sciences out how to defeat Sandman.

Just restarted checkpoint. If you some how miss Spider-Man throwing the water tank at sandman you have to restart. Or you just will be swinging around shooting webs at sandman for 15 minutes straight with no progress.

Love this boss fight, but it's a bit poorly designed. Considering that a lot of the time you're fighting him in the air, and there are not any high buildings around you, the devs made you able to swing from nothing.

how ? there is not a single moment in the open world where he's not swinging on anything, this is the only time it happens. do you have any other examples ? cause there is no way that you've played all these games and noticed that most of the time he's not attached to something, cause that's just not true.

I have said this already and will say it again, this game had the best introduction to a video game ever. Like this was literally perfection, the only game I can think off with such an amazing intro is gow Ragnarok. But damn this game's intro was just epic

I want to play a game where all of the boss fights feel THIS high stakes and environmentally overpowered. I would absolutely die a happy man if they made a spider man sequel that was built upon the Sinister 6, where each boss fight is THIS big, or at least explosive. I really enjoyed the Kingpin arrest in the beginning of part 1. The mall chase in Miles Morales was a visually impressive thing, it just felt more "street level" crime and was only 1 of 2 dynamic moments in the game (the other being the bridge rescue). But man, they really outdid themselves with this intro. Many developers would have saved something like this for the boss fight at the end. Not Insomniac! lmao With the rumors of a possible Daredevil inclusion into the cannon of this game, I hope that is what's going to usher in the return of Kingpin. As much fun as I had with this game, I was a bit disappointed that Kingpin didnt make a return as one of the side villains at least, especially since he threatened Miles in the Miles Morales game. Kingpin is perfect for this game because between he, Daredevil, and Spider-Man, things always devolved down to fist fight level aggression because it always played back to the whole "New Yorkers from the street" undertones of the 3 characters.

I love the update jacket look for Sandman . It’s been 60 year’s . The green stripped shirt really seemed a bit outdated
