A spider is next to my bed rn. I'm too lazy to go and kill it. Plus it's a harmless male spider. So, I'll just go to sleep while it's next to my bed on the wall. Pray for me that it doesn't crawl on me. I hate that sensation. Also, sry for necroing your post. My sleep deprived brain just wanted to type about the spider.

It was a giant house spider. Similar, but hobo’s only grow to about an inch big. They also aren’t as vibrant in color and don’t have as long of legs.

I literally made one of those by stripping a tennis racket and replacing it with copper wiring then decided to go a little overboard and hook it up a computer battery. I straight up shocked spiders, stinkbugs, and cave crickets to the point that their tiny little corpses caught fire. It was so nice

That's not a false widow, those are usually black with a white hour glass (red hour glass is the actual black widow) that looks like a wolf spider. We have those out here in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Judging by the size, it looks like a young, not quite fully grown female (yes the females grow about 1/3 (approx. 33%) bigger than that, and the males are usually 1/3 the size of a female. A male wolf spider is much smaller than that one). Wolf spiders are poisonous to humans. The bite usually swells lots. Bad reactions to a bite can cause gangrene of some types, and also the person usually feels a bit ill for a few days after a bite if their immune system isn't up to par. A wolf spider bite, just like a black widow bite, can be fatal to an infant child. So be careful to check your child's crib. Make sure to spray "Raid: Spider" spray: It kills all spiders (even tarantulas) on contact. Also spray around all the legs of your child's crib because the residue will last for 2 weeks (a fortnight for you guys in the UK) and kill any spiders (and any other insects) that walk on a sprayed surface for an entire 2 weeks. I always keep a can of it in my house along with "Raid: Ants" spray as well. And no I do not work for "Raid" or any other bug spray companies or have any reason to promote their sales.
