I feel like i just watched 30 minutes of Sarah being tortured, and Lewis doubling up and finishing each one to try and punish himself so he doesn't feel as bad for seeing Sarah like that

@@georgehh2574 There’s heaps of plant milks, but most vanilla vegan ice cream is coconut based, yes. Ben & Jerry’s is almond based, others tend to be soy based. That’s another thing I question - why did they give poor Lewis coconut milk (it’s so fucking nasty). Soy milk is probably the only one I’d drink by itself, it’s pretty good. Although I think he’s allergic to nuts so that might have something to do with it, to be fair. I also think from what I’ve seen that Lewis actually doesn’t eat much processed food and maybe doesn’t even know himself how much vegan food there is out there. I respect it, because I couldn’t live without my vegan ice cream personally.

Lewis pretending to be awkward is great. He's actually a very charming man now!

To be fair, these are very mild hot sauces. A 650k scoville rating isn't much more than a medium spice level imo, you want the 1.5 million and up reaper stuff to really do some damage, though the stuff I have does feel like eating nails lol

I have to say this, I've been watching the yogscast for what must be at least 14 years now since WoW Cataclysm, and one Lewis Brindley of the Yogscast is the best he's ever looked with every single consecutive year. The main issue with Da Bomb is that it doesn't really use actual peppers, they just pour pure capsicum oil into it for artificial "hotness". It's been mentioned on Hot Ones a few times too. Using real peppers not only tastes better, but also has a more natural heat profile.

I’ve personally tried Da Bomb and it really has no redeeming features. Tastes like battery acid and is horrendously painful right down into your stomach, genuine poison.

When mountaineers start dying of Altitude Sickness / Hypothermia, they get a moment before death where they feel really warm, blissful, and start taking their clothes off. I think that was Lewis transcending on his last chilli

Absolutely lost it at "Daddy is a state of mind." I'm laughing. I'm crying. I'm cringing.

I know it's a weird time to say it but videos like this of Lewis where he's just sat at a table talking that really shows how nice and down to earth he is :) And Sarah is just a gem, as always! Didn't Osie have the same experience as Lewis with the last one, where Da Bomb was worse? 😂

If there was ever an excuse for a red matter chilli sauce this series would be it. How many scovilles would a yogs red matter sauce be. I don't know who was losing it more towards the end lewis or sarah

2 minutes in and Lewis has already mentioned an unfortunate child incident. Par for the course.

If anyone is curious, sugar. Just straight up sugar, is the best way to kill heat. Capsaicin, the"spicy", is an oil. The sugar scrubs and absorbs the oils. Gotta be raw sugar. Sugary stuff wont work. It wont remove it totally, but it is among the best ways to reduce the heat.

Poor Sarah, still has the wrong "ice cream" for this sort of thing. That soft scoop has literally no milk in it. You need the casein, from the milk, to cancel out the capsaicin.

Plus you have to keep it in your mouth. You're trying to use the casein to basically dissolve the capsaicin. The same thing with milk. It's effective when you swish it around in your mouth like it's a mouthwash.

I kinda want to see them do the Hot Ones/First We Feast style office wing roulette too. Sometimes after shoots they have a bowl with each wing+sauce combo in it and the people in the office have to pick one not knowing what each is and eat it.

I am glad that we get these sometimes for nonmembers. I only really have budget to spend on Games Night and Mystery Quest and even tho I love these, I think that supporting the other two is more important. And Pyrion would 100% eat Lewis. He's not fu55y :D Just a tip for stopping the burn - tomato juice with a bit of sugar in it. I know it sounds disgusting and it tastes just how it sounds. But it helps and it is vegan. You want sugar and/or acidic stuff (this is why banana or coconut milk did nothing - they are baser than water, while limes seemed to help for a bit). Honey is also pretty decent but not vegan. Also contrary to instincts, using hard liquor like vodka as mouthwash - it destroys capsaicin which is alcohol soluble and pretty much stops the spice from burning right there and then. You still get "afterburn" because it is pain after all, but you remove the source of it. NEVER touch your eyes, drink carbonated drinks or breathe through nose. And if you have sensitive stomach, wash out your mouth, try to swallow as little as possible of the spice. I can tell from firsthand experience - you can permanently damage your stomach by eating something that is just too hot (still, won 20 quid for that ghost). The reason why milk (which is baser than water) helps is because of it's unique properties - mainly the proteins in it and calcium that calm down taste buds. This is why you often get sour cream with spicy mexican food - it combines both dairy and acidic pH so you actually do relieve the pain. And again - sour cream or yoghurt works like a charm compared to ice cream (and tub ice cream often has fairly low amount of actual cream/milk in it)
