just subbed as your vids are going to help me massively getting to grips and making the most of my nx8. Are these lemon receivers solid as they seem to be quite abit cheaper than the spektrum ones (with safe and as3x). I have bought 2 planes that require receivers (i am progressing from an aeroscout). If so would you recommend the lemon rx for all planes if as3x\safe is required, or just certain models? Thanks in advance.

TT,welcome to the channel! I use the 10 channel and 6 channel mainly non gyro in different planes. I have configured plenty of the "Stability" Rx too. If you run the "Plus" (which has Safe type mode like Spektrum) version it needs to have a good size BEC. So not really good on smaller planes as the gyro can overpower the electronics. They also had a small run of issues with the LVC set wrong on the "Plus" models. So if buying them make sure there new versions.

Budget allows for NX10 i would spend the extra. Hall Effect Gimbals,6000 instead of 2000 battery, 2 extra channels and magnetic charge cable. NX8 users typically buy 6000 battery so the cost becomes even closer.

Lars, sorry to hear about your injury :( If you go to System Setup it turns off the RF to the plane. So the plane think its lost signal and goes into fail safe mode. You have done 1 of 2 things. 1) Bound TX and RX without throttle being in lowest position. 2) Bound with trim at lower position and raised the trim after causing it to give the plane a false throttle input. So what needs to be done is put your throttle trim to (0) and rebind TX and RX with the throttle stick all the way down. Do this stuff with the prop off. Also you can try doing same thing of going to system setup and verify you done this correctly.

@@BillKisel id be interested to hear your comparison between the two brands. Also if your installing in a plane without retractable landing gear you can setup 2 simpler ways. 1) The default is A and you dont have retractable gear so you can just use A for the Gyro. @@BDTennessee BD I'm new to this RC flying hobby... the SAFE I'm familiar with is on the control board of my Sport Cub S 2 and my UMX Turbo Timber it is not a separate Spektrum receiver like you'd find in larger HH planes and sold separately for PNP planes. An obvious difference between the Lemon Plus and the Spektrum with SAFE is the price with the Spektrum costing nearly twice as much. My sense from watching YT videos of bot is that the Lemon appears, to me, to be easier to program. With the Lemon you can only have one of two levels of "SAFE"; I think that with Spektrum's forward programming you can set many levels of SAFE between maybe a max high and low. I'm pretty certain there are many other differences not related to "SAFE" between the two receivers. I've only had two flights using the Lemon as compared to hundreds with SAFE mode on my other two models. The Lemon level flight mode in my FT Simple Cub is doing pretty much what SAFE mode does for my other planes but perhaps not as tuned or refined. I think for a better comparison you'd want to experiment by using the two receivers in the same model. You'd also want the flying to be done by a more experienced pilot than me. Take care.

When you make those gains can you capture them? Otherwise, each time you fly you will have to adjust, correct? 4. Can you mount these in any position (except upside down) like the spektrum receivers? 5. Can you use all the spektrum satellite receivers with these? 6. Please do a video setting up the 10 channel version of these receivers!! 🙂 Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond. Jayson

Lemon Rx you have to move gear and flaps up a channel (Gear to 6 and Flaps to 7). Gyro works off Channel 5/Gear. So if you leave the gear on 5, it will toggle the gyro.If using a non retractable gear plane, you dont need to do this configuration. Spektrum doesnt have this because the gyro can be put on a spare channel. (example channel 7).Allows 6 normal channels and a gyro toggle.
