I'm new to my iX20 (coming from a DX18) and couldn't find a lot of these kinds of videos. Then I found your iX14 vids and realized they are mostly identical. Thanks BD!

BD when i bought my NX8 I was struggling to figure it out and found your videos. You do a great job explaining the process! I was up and running in a few hours! Now I just got my IX 14 in and I'm so glad you've got iX14 videos too. Thank you!!!

Hi BD. Thank you for all the videos on both the NX and IX radios. They are very helpful! I was wondering if you noticed or agree that the sign on the back of the radio showing how to insert an SD card isn’t correct. The contacts on the card should be face down and the notch should be on the right, not the left. Am I missing something?

Yes i agree. SD card contacts face down for install.

My new ix14 is on its way... just got my tracking number. Your video reminded me just how much I don't like that scroll wheel on my ageing DX-9 (it's not that bad, but a touch screen is so much better). The bigger screen is also appreciated.

Couldn't get any of my DX8 models to import successfully. Received the "Legacy Import Failed at ...." message.

I'm having trouble importing files onto the iX14. I successfully exported from my iX12 to the SD Card but I don't see the files to import.

Pull up the SD card like shown in the video.Make sure there not in a folder either.

I have a DX9 where i will be transferring them over as described ,,,when I do this will all the switches I use be set up as well like I had on the DX9 or do I have to do all of that over

One question. If you have models with forward programming, do those settings come with as well? I know you are actually programming the reciever with FP. But will those settings be seen in the new transmitter? Just curious, since I plan on ordering the IX14 soon.. thanks and great video!

Settings are saved in the receiver.So when you change radios,no issue. Ix you order a iX14 please use affiliate link in description :)

Just imported all my files from my NX8 to the new IX14. Was a breeze, very glad it took all settings including voice commands and it worked right away just like the other receiver as soon as I binded. Great video!

Still does not work. I have all blade helicopters and I sold my NX, tried downloading the blade folder to my google drive. Still doesn't show up on my transmitter. I made sure that I'm signed in.

I just received my radio, registered it and transfered models from my NX10. After I uploaded my models, they were all there, I exited to the main screen. Now Airware won't open, it's getting stuck on the Airware loading page. Support says I wasn't suppose to use files from the NX series (?)

I fixed it, had to delete the Airware app and re-install it. I must have had a bad file on the SD card.

Excellent Videos. I've been trying to export models from a DX9 to my IX14. Followed your instructions, exported models on the standard SD card, then transferred them over to a micro SD card. They are on that micro SD card now (as shown on my computer as spm files) however, when I put the micro SD card in the IX14, it doesn't even show the micro SD card after going to import models. Any thoughts?

Did you put them into a folder or in the "root"? Also did you select SD card when at the files menu?

@@BDTennessee Got them transferred. Originally used a micro SDXC 64 GB card, then tried a standard micro SD 32 GB card and formatted it first, then copied files to it and it showed up. It was either the wrong type card or it was the formatting it first that did it. Unfortunately, the customized audio for various switches did not transfer, except timer, so have to figure that out. Your videos are outstanding, thank you so much, they're a life saver!! Next up are the custom photos (and either programming each models switch audios-unless you know how to transfer those as well) of each aircraft and will follow your other videos. 👍

@@BDTennessee Thanks to your help, setting it up is progressing nicely! The type of micro SD card at 32 GB or less and correctly formatted solved the issue. Now importing custom photos as per your instructions, very cool. One quick question, I program various switches with voice commands which did not come over. The majority on each are similar, except a few special commands. Like low/mid/high rates, gear up/down, flap positions, AS3X positions and throttle cut, etc. I've programmed models using the switch change feature, but is there some way to save common commands so I don't have to type them in on each model and can pull them from a menu of common commands?

Yeah, except that my throttle stick alerts and switch change reports didn’t make the trip. I’m having to redo every alert on all of my models. You’d think with all that Android computing power they could write a script that would automatically convert the DX setups to iX. And on top of that, it can’t say “Gyro”.

It's not too bad, but I'll be turning mine on when I get to the field and using sleep mode the rest of the afternoon. It wakes up immediately from sleep mode.

@@txkflier yup. Best way to use it. Power up and use sleep mode between flights.
