Hi BD, I like the video. But actually you showed how to do exactly what I already did. (NX8 to NX8) unfortunately my new NX8 will only bring one model from the sd card even though, yes, I selected "import all". Thanks for the upload. I'll keep trying. Edit: Some of my model names had quotation marks for inches ("). The NX8 didn't like that and it stopped uploading when it got to one of those. I couldn't get my radio to login to specktrum so I used an SD card to download the latest updates from spektrum on my computer. I can't believe it took all evening to copy over 13 models. But thanks for your helpful videos.

Wow dude thanks. One would think that by putting a SD card in it would be a internal SD but it's not. My transmitter kept telling me no SD card because I selected internal SD. When I selected external SD card BAM !!! there it was ( YAY !!! ) Then I was able to import my new model. So Happy

Those were the best vids ever for the NX series. you did such a great job that like I said if you dont mind and if you do I would like to link all your vids on the unboxing I do for the NX8 bc they are all pretty much the same in the menus and you have done a much better job than I could and I will tell you I did a video on the Horizon Hobby Apprentice STS plane on how to set up the virtual wall and gps bc not even horizon hobby did a video like I did and it took me alot of time to figure it out and I did a step by step vid on how to set it on the plane and I will tell you alot of ppl appreciated it bc nobody shows that and it really frustrated me so I did a awesome vid and it really is appreciated by alot of ppl so I will link all your vids on this series bc why try to do it better when you did it the best!! Thanks again and look fwd to more of your vids my friend!!

@ Island RC -Duke It’s not a remote! its a radio transmitter. Remotes are for turning TVs on and off.

Trying to do this now but you didn’t show the cards going in and out or how you did that??? My mini card won’t read and shuts down my dx7, trying to transfer all planes to my nx8. That would have been nice but thank you. Appreciate your videos

Cards can only go in and out one way. Make sure to use below the specs in the video. Also i heard people having issues with transfer from DX7...

When an sd card is purchased does it have to be formatted first before you can use it with the spektrum radio ? If so, is there a certain way it has to be formatted -

Same way in video. You wont need a sd adapter. Only micro sd.

How do you bring in new models from the spectrum web page

Load them manually on memory card and transfer(DX model way).I havent seen a way to do it in the radio. I either overlooked it or they need to release a feature to do model list update

@@BDTennessee My understanding is that the files your transferring need to be from a gen2 DX Radio, not for example a Dx7s gen one from 2013 . The file type is different and won’t work on the gen two Radios.

Export models from old radio to SD card.Remove SD card and install to new radio. Import models from SD card. No computer needed as video shows.

@@BDTennessee I understand. I’m in possession of a dx6e. It didn’t come with any bnf planes. I don’t have access to any other radios so no other option for me but I have all the means and a laptop so I’m good. Spektrum is moving forward at fast pace but 5 of my 6 planes are horizon and on the bnf list. I can’t wait because I’m still having problems with expo and dual rates so hopefully the pre loaded bnfs will help.

@@KL-uu2vq these dont have to be downloaded models it could have been ones you made. I hear you on them not having all the models though. Keep in mind the most planes in the owners manual are 70% low and 100% high. Also most dont show expo to use. What issue you having with dual rate and expo?

You didn’t show were the micro SD card was located ?🙄
