    This machine is the best. I am so happy with it. Delivered in March 2021 and it’s wonderful. Went through a newer HD Maytag that died after 5 years. Replaced with a very expensive LG. I paid for the LG model (impeller) with an additional water heater. A piece of junk, so tired of all the HD lies. The LG machine would actually override my choices for water temp. So very tired of all the noise and caution for unbalanced loads. That LG just was banging itself too death; not enough water. Who wants to hang around the laundry room to be sure the machine actually gets through a wash cycle. I was extremely careful about balancing loads and it still worked itself into ‘banging” mode. Dumped the LG and service calls for this SQ TR7 model. Wow, cleaner wash with water temp of my choosing. Don’t hesitate on this one, great machine and I don’t have to hang around the laundry room.

    I too had a LG HE top loader with the impeller - loads would go off balance on a reg basis and the basket would bounce around inside the case - made an awful racket...Now I have a Maytag top loader with the impeller - much better all around and no basket imbalance issues - however after nearly 5 years it too is getting close to replacement.

    My TR7 gets nasty engine and chainsaw bar oil stains completely out. But that's because I took the time to understand how the washer works and the best detergents/enzymes/solvents to use based on the stains I have. And I only have those stains on occasion - as a DIYer. But I do have wicked "hitchhikers" on my property. I don't think a TR will compete with a TC beating those loose. But to be fair even my old, very aggressive, fabric wrecking, agitator-based washer couldn't tackle everything. It's finesse vs brawn with the TR vs TC decision. Not sure where the commie and gov't regulations comments come from. Although it's arguable the U.S. is headed that way, the TR lets you use 100% hot water with no mixing and will fill to the top of the tub. No conservation there.

    I’m not a SQ employee, and I can say that it’s relative the consumers needs, but both machines are great…… a family that deals with huge loads of filthy, greasy, grimey laundry, likely needs the old, classic agitator design. A family with very light soil, and/or small loads only, might benefit most from saving a few bucks on energy/water because the TR7 will clean their clothes fine. When it comes to washers (good brands anyways), there’s no real “best” or “worst” design, because every families needs are different.

    i have been researching washers for well over a month and finally went ahead with a TR7. As every washer has its fair share of negative reviews. I have only had my TR7 for several days and have run thru about 5 loads now. I can only share my experience so far but I am completely satisfied. After having front loaders for 20 yrs, the last set being a 7 yr old LG, i was just done with them. LG high pressure jets bang the hell out of your pipes. Even buying hammer knock arresters only solve the issue for several months until they wear out. These last 5 loads in my new TR7 are the cleanest my laundry has been in years and no more pipe hammer. I dont think you realize it until you change, but the front loaders really dont clean well. Any reviews saying otherwise i have to question who is sponsoring them. The well known front washer stink makes you nose blind after a while. I 100% endorse my TR7. Its working great, cleaning great, has a solid history and reputation with a 7 yr warranty. I am in banking, not an appliance expert or paid endorser but i agree with this guys review.

  • @piecesoftheheart9231

    @piecesoftheheart9231

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Dana_C3 I’ve had my TC5 almost 1 full year now, and it’s the love of my life. I’ve still never been able to set it off balance (even somewhat kind of trying, to see what it does… it just doesn’t). The short cycles, and simplicity of old school “water + transmission agitator” knocks dirt off like no h/e washer I had previously. I believe modern agitub/front load/low water/no agitator designs probably do just fine for laundry that doesn’t get very dirty (no pets, no extreme outdoor sports, no bluecollar workers, etc), but in the case of extreme dirt, you NEED water (to flush it all out), and you NEED true agitation (to knock it all off). The only thing I regret about my TC5, was not buying it 10 years sooner. I tried 6 different h/e washers (all styles and brands/top loads and front loads), and I’m fully convinced that h/e washers are just not designed to handle above average dirt. In the case of above average dirt, the TC5 is just simple and old school enough to do the job. A few cons: 1) Only 2 water settings, medium and large… that said, washing 2 shirts isn’t practical like it can be with an h/e washer that senses the amount of clothes. I’ve just learned to run our laundry when the right amount of clothes are dirty, for those size loads…. Water is really what makes it great imo too, so it’s kinda hard to really call that a “con”. 2) The “soak” setting is only about 15 minutes, and no option to lengthen it. If you want longer soaks, say hours or overnight, you’ll need to do that in a wash bin in the tub. 3) I can’t think of a 3…

    Ya, I have a 5 month old whirlpool that operates this way with a removable agitator, and I’m selling it/having a SQ TC5 delivered Thursday…. Here’s the thing tho: It does a fantastic job on my laundry, which is light, and never gets very dirty. The options are awesome… It can’t come close to handling my husband work clothes (he works in a mine, drives ATVs/UTs, etc)…. And for that, we need the Speed Queen beast…. If it was just me and my own laundry needs however, I would like this bottom impeller driven design just fine.

    My ex wife bought one and is unhappy with it - when I looked at it and saw the agitation, it was obvious this machine was not very good - it uses the right amount of water, but that agitation routine just sucks - it’s just swishing the laundry around, it’s certainly not turning it over in any effective /aggressive way to clean even moderately dirty clothes. Sorry, but I totally disagree with you.

    IMO with today's effective detergent a "turnover" is not required just as a lot of suds are not required. "Turnover" in my 2010 top load Speed Queen would wear my clothes out, ripping pockets in jeans and fading my dress shirts in six months. I had to sell them to stop that expense. So, when the TR series came out with effective cleaning, 20 year endurance, seven year warranty, more quiet wash action and a smoother more refined spin action and automatic imbalance recovery, well, I just had to jump on it. I have a TR7 now and am very pleased and consider it the best washer out there bar none.
