It is the most versatile machine I’ve ever used. You can go from lightly soiled to very heavily soiled, and all the adjustments in between. It’s straightforward, and gives you as many options as you desire.

I have had mine almost a year and so thankful we were able to buy the set. I did a lot of research (and I have bought a lot of washing machines), one before this one failed within 5 years.

I have had my TR7 about a month and find that the clothes come out more wet after a wash than my old machine. I can't figure out if this is just the way it is or what. Also, I still can't figure out what cycle would be best for everyday t-shirts. One gripe I definitely have is that you can't put the liquid soap cap to rinse out under the water because the water stops when you raise the lid. UGH! The machine definitely gets noisy when the pump is working. When it is washing it is quiet. The first week I had the machine an error code of Ed came on and the manual told me to unplug it and plug it back in. I'm like, really a problem already! I paid a lot for this machine. I don't know if I am going to be happy with this or not.

What model# is the 2024 version? What is the wash action? I recommend the heavy duty cycle. I recommend if you use softener, use the heavy duty cycle and use it properly.

I wonder if the clothes spin would work on the tr7 as well to run it with lid open

If you choose any cycle other than normal eco or heavy duty eco cycle, you need to use fabric softener, otherwise the clothes will have more static in a dryer and will come out stinky.

Is this a better model than the front load washer from this brand?

Will the TR5 tear up your clothes or catch strings? Also is there a big difference in cleaning capabilities between the TR7 and TR5 since the tr5 is aggressive?

The TR5 washes the same as the TR7. The Model you mean with the aggressive action is the TC5. Yes there is a HUGE difference. the TR7 will not clean any dirty items, and forget about large loads like bedding. I've had no problems with my TC5 damaging anything, and the delicate and Bulky/sheet cycles are very gentle. Only issues I've had with it is it breaking down, not anything with the cleaning performance. Good luck with what you choose!

Is there a reason the top load comes with a 7 year warranty, but the front load only comes with a 5 year and cost about 60% more?

I would always use the regular rinse. The spray rinse on washers is a joke

​@larrygoldman2530 I'm a service tech and used appliance salesman, the digital speed queens have to be the worst machines I've ever dealt with. tracking down problems is near impossible, service manuals are impossible to come by, cleaning action is horrible, and apart from the driveline the build quality is awful. body is thin thin metal, the bottom loves to rust, and the washing capacity is the smallest on the market. I'm constantly fighting issues with a front loader I sold my aunt a year ago. the only speed queen I would buy is a tc5 and I would sell it as soon as the warranty is up
