Speed Limiters Now Mandatory | Big Brother WILL Slow You Down!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Get ready for a major change in how we drive! From 7 July 2024, all new cars sold in Europe, including the UK, will be fitted with Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) technology. This new regulation mandates speed limiters to prevent vehicles from exceeding speed limits using GPS and traffic cameras. In this video, we reveal how these speed limiters work, their potential impact on driving, and the broader implications for road safety.
While the intention behind speed limiters is to reduce road accidents and improve safety, there are significant concerns about their practicality and reliability. We discuss how these devices can be overridden, the potential issues with speed limit recognition, and the impact on driver behaviour. Will this new technology make our roads safer or just more frustrating for drivers?
Watch for everything you need to know about this radical regulation. Whether you’re in favour of increased road safety measures or worried about Big Brother’s control, this is a topic that affects every driver. Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments and let us know how you feel about these upcoming changes!
If you find this video helpful, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share it with others who might benefit. Stay tuned for more insightful reviews and updates on the latest in automotive technology and trends.

The industry built up around cars and the government itself make too much money to want to stop people driving completely. Road tax, fuel duty, insurance, MOT and servicing costs. And remember, all of the car makers, dealerships used car salesmen and insurance companies all pay vast amounts of tax to the government on their slice of the car pie. Add to this list everyone who has to commute to work and then pays massive amounts of tax and national insurance to the government on what they earn.

My new Mazda I’ve had for 5 weeks is fitted with Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA). Driving on a 60mph road and getting continuous audio chimes because the system has picked a 20mph sign on a side road is a major distraction. I turn off my audio warning all the time as identifying the wrong speed limit sign or failing to pick up the correct limit happens regularly. The Mazda manual encourages you not to turn off the speed audio warnings as it turns off all the other audio warnings. Unfortunately you have too as it regularly identifies the wrong limit. If cars were forced to slow down I can see accidents happening and a lot of road rage.

This isn't for "safety" it's so that your ID is connected with your walking & the first fine you will get is when you cross the road when the lights aren't permitting you to do so. Thus, on an empty road you will still have to use the lights on the crossing and wait at the side of the road until you are told yo go. It's the globalists Utopia and our Dystopia.

I foresee that the Starmer government will form an unholy alliance with the Greens and others to effectively legislate most ICE vehicles off the roads of the UK by 2030. Fully automated speed limiters based on current technology are dangerous. Not a mile from my house there is a bypass rated at 60 mph. However, as I approach the bypass 9, times of 10, my car fails to report the change in speed so I get an alarm telling me I am exceeding 30 mph when I am actually doing 40 in a 60. Where this gets dangerous is when roads of different speeds pass over each other such as the A46 East of Bath. The road is a 50 mph limit but as the A46 passes under the A46, which is a 30 mph junction, the system gets confused. For a short distance my car is confused and reports it should be doing 30 whilst in a 50. If the brakes were applied automatically, the sudden braking for no apparent reason would at some point result in me getting rear-ended.

With auto shutdown technology that informs the police and locks you in your car if you go outside your area or otherwise break the rules, and if you can't see it coming, then you really need to wake up. 1984 came 40 years late, but it's here, my friend, and the answer is dont buy a new car or an electric car, and it won't happen. Could you imagine overtaking a car on a 60mph zone and the car you are overtaking is doing 55mph and you indicate and pull out and hit the limiter and has a head on because you could not hit the gas to complete the gas. Will the police have the ability to cut the power of your car remotely? I got driven off the road by a lorry once and I did not have enough power to fully overtake on a dual carriageway. I do not want to work out what buttons to press when in an emergency. I do not believe in FSD and lane assist. GPS signals are worse in Cities with a lot of high rise buildings. The people surveyed are probably the same people that the give way to pedestrians on into junctions. The most annoying road is the A40 is the London 30mph on the average speed limit zone with 3 lanes available. Does it also account for roadworks and smart motorways, people will have to use their brains - that is never good (See UK elections where they were all of automatic self driving mode off a cliff) I do not have an issue with this as I am always falling into 60-50 or 30 zones without knowing, I do not agree with tracking and this will tracking and the automatic guilt through driver telemetry. New EV and new gas cars are just expensive 10 year IOT disposable devices on wheels, could you imagine getting a new screen for your 20 year old EV? There are too many bespoke screens and the cybersecurity on these IOT devices after 10 years will be a dangerous nightmare for software updates. Will netflix/Disney+/KZread work on these infotainment systems.

In the Netherlands the roads are used to the max. Every day you have traffic jams at the same locations. Mainly because nobody keeps a gap in between them and the one in front of them. If people would keep open a gap wide enough to fit in 2 or maybe 3 lorries, 18 wheeler length kinda lorries, traffic would keep flowing. BUT, people also have to adjust their speed to the speed of the lorry. And so: IF everyone were to drive the same speed as lorries, and we would all keep open a gap in front of us so people can merge onto the motor way or get off of it, then it would all keep flowing nicely. In the Netherlands the distances to travel are not that much. If you want to travel from the most north-western point to the most south-eastern point, its like say 300 kilometers? Maybe a bit more. If you travel with 100 kilometers an hour and could have that as an average speed, it would take 3 hours. BUT there is no way to travel the entire distance with an average of 100 kilometers per hour. If you were to travel with 80 kilometers per hour, it would take you roughly 3.75 hours. That is again if you could travel with a certain average speed. Nonsense. Me and several co workers have put money on it several times. They start their journey going as fast as the lorry allows.... 83 kilometers per hour. And me, i just put it on 80. I arrive at my destination 2 to 3 minutes later than they did. Lorry drivers who overtake with just 1 kilometer an hour difference, in the Netherlands, they are just crazy. It only wins them what? 1 minute? 2? Or, they jump the queue. They want to be in front of you to unload or load. Sad people, really. There are old pilots and there are bold pilots but not many old bold pilots around. Same goes for the people on the roads. Most who drive like crazy win the Darwin Award. Sometimes taking innocent people with them to Saint Petrus. Personally i think we are on the roads to try to get from A to B safely. And speed? The difference between traveling at 80 kilometer an hour or 100 is not worth mentioning when the distances we travel is short. Lorries travel longer distances than most people in their car. Most people in their car go from their home to work and back, and to the store and back. What kinda distance is that? Does it really help to travel at max speed for to get from a to b if b is only 5 kilometers away from you>? You win what? 3 seconds? And the same for lorries: if the distance is 300 kilometers, and the lorry in front of you can only go 83 kilometer an hour..... but yours can go 84 kilometers an hour.....Those who overtake with such a small difference in top speed are lunatics.

  • @bertjesklotepino

    @bertjesklotepino

i totally forgot what this video was about.... Anyway, my opinion on speed limiters: if it will make all the car traffic travel at the same speed or just 1 kilometer per hour faster than the lorries, it will be great. Especially if people learn how to keep open a gap in between them and the one in front. Why would this be great? If all traffic on the motor way is traveling at roughly the same speed, it is like a train. And if people keep their distance, others can merge onto or off the main high way/motor way. It is thanks to these individuals who think they own the road that people get stuck in traffic jams. These individuals who go from left to right, the left lane, the right lane, the middle lane. Where ever they see a gap in a traffic jam, they will put their car into the gap. And then they brake. And then they make sure the entire lane is stopped again.

It's not about saving lives. It's just another way of collecting yet more money through the motorist. It will be just like the emissions. Up will go insurance on non compliant older vehicles, until they are priced off the road. Meanwhile, I would not be surprised if you turn the system off and then proceed to have an accident, your insurance will be void. There will be fines galore, and only the government wins. I'm keeping my current car till its either priced from the road or scrap. I'm 65 and retired. If I fail to get another 10 years from the system I shall either cycle, use taxis or walk. They are all ugly looking over bloated tin cans anyway, and I doubt if my garage will even continue to accommodate these massive ugly things. It's about time something like this has kicked in... Thankfully now the tech has gotten to a point at which this can now finally be implemented. I actually don't agree that 'speed kills' (as such) I feel that the sort of driver that does habitually speed is more likely to get into an accident FULL STOP! Reckless attitude towards safety. I resent the notion that the speed limit 'changes' if it's 3am... (roads empty) Does anybody see any small print below a speed sign that says (unless it's early hours on a Sunday)? I personally don't own any roads myself, we agree the moment that we pass our tests to abide by the law... call it 'terms and conditions' if you will... Flout the law, driving privileges removed (and driving is a privilege, not a right) . I must remember to tell that drunk guy that stumbles into the road from between 2 parked cars at 2am that i'm sorry i killed him because i was doing 43 in a 30, but it was quiet out so i didn't expect him to fall into the road in front of me.

Dont believe people want this at all unless they're non drivers. Looks like one daren't get old or have a health problems, daren't try to work out how many hours/days i've waited for buses yet so worried about ill health and then unable to walk far. Tfl is crap and i for one refuse to use it!! Even kh.nt wont wait for a bus!

I have used speed loiters for over 20 years and if everyone did then there would be no speeding fines and if there was a massive overload of the legal system could result for to the fact that the legal process would have to be exhausted each time to find the cause and determine the liable party or parties.

Problem is that EV drivers aren’t quite going slow enough - in an attempt to increase range - to annoy the ICE and truck drivers. Speed limiters will ensure everyone else has to follow at 20 mph in the ever increasing zones… It’s all about control! Interestingly, my sat-nav frequently shows a 30 mph limit on major roads where no such limit exists, most recently on the A9. Not sure how popular I would have been if I’d no option other than to drive at 30 mph in a 60 mph limit!!

If they force you to follow the speed limit, they will lose out on all that revenue. Do you really think governments want to lose all that revenue

So to work it requires a camera and GPS. Therefore, the question is if you disable both of these physically does the car still work?

Side questions, mainly based on say 10 yrs time when its fully mandatory and active Who controls the speed limit data supplied to the gps, and what would happen if that were to change to zero mph. Will speed sign recognition override the gps speed data for cases of "temporary road works" signs, and would that mean the police ( or in fact anyone) be able to use a speed limit sign to slow or even stop a vehicle?

I ride a Kawasaki ZZR1441. I cannot understand why we need to be limited in speed. I never break the speed limits on it. I never broke the limit on any of the 6 Hayabusa I have previously owned either.

That's not about saving lives. It's all about control. Once most cars have such tech they will lower the limits and use it to fine drivers. It will be used to punish people.

It's the end of individual choice in your car. No more sports cars ect. This could the beginning of the conveyance. Add self driving abilities to the speed limiters, maybe even the beginning of the end to car ownership, add an uber app and pay by mile .. it's possible, just think about it how many cars do you see driving around with only one occupant? Enforced car share?

The system should be under the control of the driver. Able to decide how much the system doesn't at anyone time. Eg assistant designed around the human. Not trying to design the human out of the loop. Those who know how. How to program the system off. The Citroen of override button is good.
