I watched an interview about about Eddie Murphy talking about that he never had a plan B he always had a plan A , he has the same mentality as Arnold Schwarzenegger most of this great performers in basketball movies excetera have the same mentality I think that you're born with that like Michael Jordan for example, had that mentality everybody were sleeping and Michael Jordan was just in the basketball court practicing and shooting and getting better it's just an insane work ethic

If you don't have a plan B, you can brag about it ONLY if you succeed. When you fail, you just circle down the drain and will be forgotten. It is the same advice as to say: "You should sell your house, your car, get a HUGE loan, go to the casino, and put it on "00". You will be a millionaire within a DAY. Look at me! this is my successes story, and it can be yours too, you just have to leave safety behind, and believe in success!!! " What a shitty advice that would be! Life is a lottery. You CAN boost your chances with hard work and dedication, and without those you definitely WILL fail. But saying that hard work is all, and after that success is just the question of how determined you are, well, that is DELUSIONAL.

This is a great motivational message, I remember my father once said to me, 'you only really fail when you give up, everything else is just a setback'. It's a powerful idea as a kid, and more should hear it.

I try to listen to this every so often, especially the Michael Jordan bit. I've been struggling with learning Japanese for decades. I learn abit then stop and start again. Does not help I switch languages from time to time. But every time I start again I have to relearn it all, although the bits I had learned before are quicker to relearn. But I keep at it slowly but surely...
