That walk around the watering hole was STUNNING. The herd in a single line with the water Buffalo and beautiful sunset was a gorgeous sight. Phaebini walking with his mom and sister is so precious. I've often thought that the trek out and home must almost feel spiritual to the Carers. They are all walking together with purpose...nature all around. Quiet, peaceful...everyone left to enjoy the moment. I'm sure it is difficult sometimes, but those of us who watch appreciate the immense beauty of these moments. Our girl was dry slurping all the way down.

Oh Fish, I know the pain of those 'ol sore bones. I was so glad to see you, and even though you are a little slower, you are still a very very handsome boy. You and Jabu make my day when I see you!! Hang in there. You have the best people in the world taking care of you!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Phabeni is still a very young elephant and Khanysia is much older then he is so, he will get there once he gets older too. He’s also kinda still new to the Orphanage also.🐘🐘🥰🙏❤️

I'm certainly not laughing; you care and are concerned about our Lovely Fish. I'm wondering if you were thinking of a support brace or something like that? I suspect his leg may be fused in that position now? I guess like me you've seen Elephants with some severe disabilities yet they get around pretty well. I believe Fish gets pain relief and the wonderful Doc Rogers keeps a check on him. No wonder he loves swimming so much - no pressure on his leg - it must be bliss! I'm very fond of him - despite his misfortune, he's a sweetheart and loves the youngsters in the Herd. 💙🐘💙🙏

By the way, how do you know so much about 🐘, are you with Adine and her teams? Our little Phabeni is doing so well and going to be as big or bigger than Jabulani by God's grace. Oh no, I'm not part of Herd at all. I've just been following them from the start and corresponded with them a lot. I've witnessed their exemplary love and care for the HERD over the years, and the trust and mutual respect between Adine and the Care Team, many of whom arrived with the herd when Adine's Mother rescued the Elephants from Zimbabwe. They were going to be shot under the terrible regime there. I used to follow them on Facebook and Instagram but I closed my accounts as I became disillusioned with these sites on other subjects. . So now I just follow HERD on KZread. I'm not even close to an "expert" on Elephants but I love them dearly (African and Asian) and HERD feel like extended family! With Kind Regards, Jan ❤🐘❤

I could feel her pains and get too excited and told Adine off as our little sunshine was walking for long distance. That baby has suffered so much and all us with her. The pains were tremendous, I could feel them and even take painkillers to calm my nerves.🤣🤣🤣 Now look at her behave like a big sister, it is joy to see her flourishing, wish I have the money to adopt one or two, that will Mambo, my pinky and of course that mischievous little bull. Feeding him is like dancing with Mambo. I am in France where it is cold and I have 3 hot water bottles under my couette. (Duvet) take care. God bless❤️🙏

This was such an awesome video and also seeing the Buffalo there at the water hole as the elephants were showing up and the one Buffalo was checking you out Adine. I was concerned that they or any of the elephants were gonna charge after each other but the elephants just absolutely ignored the Buffalo.😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘. I understand about the cold g thing to Fishon cause our Dialysis Center is absolutely freezing and I hurt so bad too. I even hurt if there is a chill outside too. I can deal with ceiling fans but not A/C for long periods of time. My heart does go out to him and I even slo down too, hugs to you Fishon.🙏❤️🥰🐘. But the rest surely looked so awesome and it always amazes me just how well mannered the elephants are too.❤️🥰🐘. I dread these programs. I watch because I feel its vital people know the truth. Was this the one where she was shot dead in the street? It still haunts me. She had escaped a few times. They just kept shooting. Over and over. The look in her eyes could break your heart. She just wanted to be free - her birthright. Who are we to steal a wild creature from its mother and sentence it to a life of hell in a circus or zoo? One day I believe mankind will pay dearly for their actions. We are certainly heading in the right direction.

How stately and royal the elephants are, so calm, quiet and impressive. That's a lot of power coming in there. I understand very well why the buffaloes leave for this display. Very nice to see this. I enjoy this picture every time. That little Phabeni managed to walk with the herd all day again.

Nothing better than seeing my favorite elephant 🐘 family rounding the water hole at sunset. Tokwe 🐘 is a wonderful matriarch and I believe she is well respected by the rest of the HERD 🐘. Khaynisa 🐘 is getting so big compared to 4 1/2 yrs ago, but by comparison to the rest of the HERD 🐘 she is still very small. Do you put Fishan 🐘 on anything in the winter to help with his discomfort? I know Setombe 🐘 brings Phabeni 🐘 back to the orphanage at night. Does she also pick him up in the mornings? I have seen Lundi 🐘 and I have seen the carers bring him to the HERD. I know Setombe 🐘 is very protective of Phabeni 🐘 especially when it comes to Tokwe 🐘 and Lundi 🐘. Just my inquiring brain wanted to know.🤣. Why is that broken leg of Fishen so curved?, it looks like it's worse now. Didn't the bones connected well during the healing process? Or is it swelling? It must have been a complex situation with him being so big and heavy. I had a broken leg, tibia/phibia, in 2017. Have an implant in the tibia. Ever since my knee is pointing inwards and my foot isn't straight, it points outwards. And always a bit of swelling remains above the place where the tibia broke...
