She certainly does love the babies! I'm hoping that when she's a little older and if a new baby comes in, that Adine will give her the chance to be the adopted mother. Until that time when she is more mature, she's the best babysitter in the herd!!

Kumbura is a very amazing allomother She was close to Lundi when Khanyisa was a little calf now she is close to Dame Setombe to help taking care of Phabeni under the watchfull eyes of Mama Setombe and daughter Klaserie She was also very good with sister Timisa Her love and dedication to babies is undisputable A great soul ! The gang of four having the time of their life in the wallow Zindoga and best friend Pisa, Timisa and Mambo Timisa never far away from Gentleman Fishan who is gently watching over the youngsters Mama Lundi keeping an eye on her mischevious son Mambo It is so interesting to see the interactions of our Ellies in the wilderness Love it !

Mambo is going to be almost as stunning as Sebakwe when he gets older. 🥰 What a wonderful afternoon with the ellies. And I love to se Uncle Fishan with the young elephants. My sweet Kumbura will hopefully get her own orphan baby when she is more mature. She would be the happies ellie ever. Such a sweet girl. Funny thought.... my grandson is 8, and he too LOVES babies. His little sister is "cute" and "my baby", and he is also the one who plays with and protect the small kids, when we get together with other families. 😍

I am really happy to see Timisa's bonds with Fishan and Pisa. It's very clear that the older bull loves her, and vice versa. And Timisa seems to be the only younger cow ellie that Pisa really has connected with. And it's always a joy to see baby Phabeni with his new ellie mama, Setombe along with his lovely allomothers, Klaserie and Kumbura. Thank you so much again for this love-filled videos. They are very agile for their size. I love when they are sitting on their bum with their feet in front of them at odd angles. They seem so content! I love this Herd.

Ah springtime in the wallow. The boys seemed to have love on their minds briefly for Pisa and Timisa, throwing a trunk over and looking for reciprocation.. ❤❤😅 Spring has been beautiful in the Yukon. We usually get snow, mud and slush..

It’s videos like this that I wish all animal rescues and sanctuaries would take much better care of their animals like these precious and loving Elephants are being cared for and it’s because of Adine and the Carers too that have taught and also given to every single elephant in this Orphanage love trust hope joy peace and human love so the elephants all have had the ability and learning to know that these humans do love them and deeply care for them too. That is what I would wish for all other animals who are having to be unfortunately in the care of humans and need nourishing, love and trust and most importantly hope too. I see these videos and how so very happy all of these elephants are and how much they truly do love and trust you all with their lives and even trust you with the youngsters lives too. Thanks for doing that for this elephant Herd cause we all know that prior to this home, their lives were broken and hurting. There is nothing but smiles from their faces. Very interesting dynamics! Fishan knows better than to try to go down into that wallow with his weak leg! But he sure keeps watch. I have always thought Zindoga has a thing for Pisa. It was nice to see her so up close in this video. She and Timi have a lovely friendship. They truly care about one another. Nice to see Lundi and Mambo together. Kumbura is truly a caring soul. No matter the circumstances she keeps coming back. Surely Setombe must realize this. But when her daughter Klaserie approaches, she immediately becomes the focal point. The love between this mother and daughter is so special. And it is because of this immense love that they are able to take charge of Phabeni. He couldn't be in better hands or should I say trunks!

MMmmmm🤔....Methinks Kumbura might be wanting her own behbeh before too long😁🤗! Something interesting I've noticed is that Fish is the only elephant in the herd that I've seen use his tusks regularly as a shelf for his trunk such as at 10:47 I've seen the others use their tusks in various other ways and occasionally a trunk will find itself flipped over a tusk, but Fish does it all the time intentionally. Such a curious fellow, I love him so much🥰I fret when the weather turns cold, my heart aches for the pain in his leg. Such a sweet soul, you could tell he desperately wanted to wallow but couldn't quite navigate the step into the mudbath😔

Thank you Owen for a great mud scene and memories of when i used to jump in mud puddles and make mud pies! Of course my mom would make me strip and turn the water hose on me before i could come in the house. Lol.

Cutie patootie Phabeni is a rock star, but all of the elephants are so dear, even grown up wild child Mambo. Their awareness, commitment to family, and intelligence is truly stunning. How beautiful they are.

I'm so happy for little Phabeni!! He has his new elephant family that loves him, he has the entire staff at HERD that loves him and keep his belly full, and he has all the 1000's of fans around the world that love him as well. What an amazing herd of elephants/humans to be adopted by! I'm completely blown away by the kindness of the elephants and how they all look after him.

At 11:05, when Zindoga was pushing Timisa, Mambo moved in fast. Why so? Was he interested in a 'wallow pushing party' being mischievous or anything else?? 😀😀 Calm Fishan unable to join wallow party and experiencing mud bath from the side. His left front leg seems more deformed now a days, isn't it? Any way, it's life. We can khooorrrrrr.... 😊

Wonder if Kumbura comes from a line of Matriarchs the way she looks after the little ones and takes on responsibilities in the herd.

I always get such a kick out of watching elephants playing in the mud. Mud is fun for everyone!😂 My kids had only lived in the city before we moved to the farm I grew up on to take care of my grandmother. It was 60 acres of heaven in my eyes, and I was so stoked to introduce my kids to country living. During the summer, the mud under the connecting joints of irrigation pipes is the perfect consistency, & there's plenty of it. I had the distinct pleasure of teaching my 4 young sons (ages 5-10) how to enjoy that mud. 😂 We made mud pies and cakes, and decorated the tops with grass seed. At first they thought I was nuts! Then they began to relax, & go with the flow, enjoying the process. Pretty soon they were having as much fun as the elephants! Good times, good memories. Those young boys brought a lot of smiles to her face. I sure do miss my grandparents. We lived next door until I was 15, & we moved from our tiny house on their Oregon farm to Seattle.

I played with friends in a big flooded park when I was very young. We all went home covered in mud. It was one of the most fun times I ever had.

We've been noticing in our family that since she took up caring for Phabeni all day, Setombe looks exhausted! It's like "ZZzzzz I can ZZZzzz handle him ZZZZZ OMG was Klaserie EVER this energetic?" She seriously looks as tired as if she had brthed him herself.

It always amazes me to see how wiggly elephants can be when they are having fun.

Zindoga was really having the time of his mud_bath life 😄What a stance at about 5:00 as he crouches down to get down the little cliff. And at about 8:00 stretching out .... Mmm yes! Lovely quiet, peaceful video - just beautiful! And Phabeni is so cute - so well looked after 🐘🐘🐘🐘

I was wondering what made his temporal glands secrete while he was having such fun in the mud. It's apparently a lot more complicated bodily function than I realized since I thought it had to do with musth or stress. It's fun learning about their different personalities. 🇸🇿🌍🦋🌿🐘🐘💙

I pray that it could always be like this for these gentle Giants. Enjoying the day with their herd eating and drinking not worrying about predators or man❤❤❤❤

So amazing how quiet these huge ellies are. One hears little from them but their breathing, occasional rumbles of content, and their movements against mother earth.
