one of my worst reactions to a collectors edition was when I cracked open Halo 5.... and it was just a code in a stealbox case (and a plastic statue I still have right beside me). But I'm glad I bought it used (the code was used btw... I didn't even get THAT) so I was out just a couple bucks over shipping.

Yeah, selling steelbooks without a disc seems crazy. I think the credit stick in the Starfield collector's edition was a nice way to deliver a code, but I still would have MUCH preferred a disc!!

One used to buy a video game boxed, with a comprehensive guide manual and occasionally even a map..all to aid your introduction and gameplay. Now it's all crass useless bits of plastic that only serves to enhance a utube backdrop or social pic. Plus...never...ever preorder...its just an insane practice that steals your money and only encourages premature bugged-filled game releases by, sadly, the majority of publishers these days. Another interesting video...even though I do not share a majority of your opinion on this occasion. I see xbox packaging in your background..is that your main gaming format and what's your preferred game genre? A bit more in your description would be helpful and may push up your subs. Keep it up.

I used to love reading through the bits and pieces included inside the game case, now you’re lucky if they include anything. Longtime Xbox fan but lucky enough to have had a PlayStation too most of the time. Hard to nail down one genre but if I had to I’d say RPG 😎👍

the scummyness is allot worse when you consider who they actually are marketing with these offers. yes there's that pressure to not miss out. but they know people suffering with mental disorders like clinical depression which is wide spread are an easy target knowing they have inhibited decision making and are more impulsive buyers especially on nostalgic brands or companies. the gloves are off in the corporate world
