The theory gives a better insight to the teacher about the nature of intelligence. The general ability differs from individual to individual. A child requires different amounts of ‘G’ and ‘S’ factors for achieving success in different Subjects. We require a high quality of ‘G’ factor for our success in life. Both ‘G’ and ‘S’ have a high correlation. This theory could be used to guide, construction of a set of ability test

An educational application would be to stop terrorizing low g pupils to be more ardent and their teachers to be more effective. So there is a danger in g-awareness. It could be used to give up too easily. On the other hand, far too many people (esp. in western countries) neglect the fact of genetic limits of scholarship and blame the state, racism, sexism, personal aversion and whatnot, although eg. in my country Germany school is "free" and pupils are hardly discriminated against by teachers (some may push some pupils down a little, but they can't stop an able willing pupil from graduating).

Yes this G and S factor is sharply critisise by Thorndik's theory.. For Thorndike, Intelligence was more like a series of of skills aor talent and several task might call for the same kind of ability..
