Thanks for the turtorials! Working on my first Eva cosplay, Your greyknights Set. I decided to kit-bash it as it’s not finished and I’m trying to get it done before halloween. But your tutorials are a lifesaver!

Love your tutorials!! They have inspired me to try my cosplay. Any hopes you may do a set of Gravis armor in the future?

Yes. I recently picked up the JoyToy 4 inch Primaris Captain in Gravis armor to use as reference geometry. I still have a few projects before it, but it is on the way.

Does the pattern template you sell on Etsy match a certain body dimension or do you just have to measure that out

My parts come with a drawing with bounding box dimensions you can scale with. Better than that, there is a scaling model STL that comes with each file that you can use something like Arnorsmith to scale your templates with. One of my videos show you how.

I still wonder about the scaling if I wanna cosplay as 229 cm (125% scaling) does it mean the helmet won't fit my head (can't see through eye ....etc)?

I would recommend that you scale the helmet to your head regardless of the scale of the rest of the armor for the very reasons you pointed out. You will just need to ask yourself if you are ok with the head appearing smaller in proportion to the rest of the armor? What about the arms? If you scale those up, you will need to devise a way to manipulate the hands (puppeteer stuff, articulating joints, etc.) because if you scale the legs and chest but not the arms, you will look like a T-Rex. I would be glad to help you develop a strategy for building the armor you want. Just reach out via Etsy messaging or email me directly at crawdaddy@crawdaddycosplay.com and we can get you started.
