This is THE BEST space engineers video I've ever watched. Just screams quality. Widely informational, detailed and quite entertaining to watch at the same time. Explanations are extremely clear and yet not over-simplified. Just right on the spot. And the editing is over the top. All the cuts and transitions are right where they are supposed to be and all little details and "cinematic cutscenes" are just perfect *chef kiss* It's very sad that such topic is not widely popular on KZread, with the amount of effort this video probably has taken to make you sir deserve a bigger audience.

KITT thanks a lot I appreciate the comment! I kinda dug my own grave after I made the intro lol, the bar was set and I can't come down. Ep. 2 is more entertaining IMO, what's finished of it that is. Too bad it's a niche game but it's still my favorite

my guy, you are a literal genius: you've streamlined and updated possibly the most cohesive and applicable method for mechs into something even better. that is true innovation. Like the engineer from tf2, while more gun is a solution i've seen you use, like the engineer you also use your absolutely gigantic brain to find solutions to problems that lay in plain sight. It's absolutely clear your main strategy is Improvise. adapt. overcome. thank you black armor, for getting me into automation in SE.

I had a chuckle when you mentioned inspiration. I realized I started playing space engineers when I saw your video with the vengeance bomber that got me interested in space engineers but the centurion battle mech made me download and start. I gave up hope rather quick because i couldmt even make a blocky ship fly. My first mech was a small backward knee biped that took me hours to make and barely worked because i over compensated everything on rotor settings. I had to spend almost a full day studying your mech tutorial world to understand since i kept trying to rush or make massive mechs. A few mechs later your titam jaeger came out and thats when I decided to make striker eureka from pacific rim. Ever since then ive made almost exclusively walkers In my worlds and ive made several jaegers. There have been times where I quit because they arent good for survival or i have no one to admire them but I constantly challenge myself to make bigger and better creations because i see your videos and it inspires me to keep building. I am so glad to have found your channel and hope to get better with every build. Side note: my biggest mech so far is 160 (400m i believe?) large grid blocks tall and based on the mech from avatar legend of kora

Oh, regarding leg design, I actually know of two mechs in science fiction that use bipedal swing legs The first one is the Castaferrum-pattern Dreadnought from Warhammer 40,000. You know, the boxy, stout one that everyone thinks of when you say "space marine dreadnought". The second is the Granite Grinder from LEGO Rock Raiders. One shared design element with these two mechs is that they have very large, wide feet.
