A Large pair of vintage Sowter audio transformers as used in the broadcast and recording industries. These have a passive boost of 11db !!!! so are probably full range microphone transformers. They sound lovely - and can be used to either boost microphone signals going into or out of mic preamps, and natch as analog audio saturators of a high caliber. Have a listen to the video - they go from gentle saturation that fixes all the mix elements in place, transparently tames transients and adds that beautiful analog 3D’ness - to all out sound design disto war. Pay attention to the bottom end - it somehow gets more solid but also clearer, and the highs get richer but without harshness. A magic wonder pair!
Built into a Very fetching but rather worn old OXO tin - balanced jacks in and out. Input is marked with a piece of blue tape. Put some of the real analog deal in that mix!
