  Hey Deran - cheers for that. I don't have any analog stereo wideners - but you can download voxengo's software version for free - and it's very good - I use it with my Masterblaster box for mastering!

  Two questions. First i am hearing a room recording. Not the best medium if i want to make up my mind about sound quality imho. Secondly, is there an option to add a supply and not be dependent on 9v batteries ? Dont know how i feel about the tin cans tbh but i guess one could put them in a different enclosure (thinking out loud)

  No questions are silly! You use your daws' in / out utility to change the volume into and out of any outboard.: support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/logicpro/lgcef2d8c7d2/mac

  @@ShrunkenHeadsTv so in short „the more level i send into it the more it distorts“ do i get it aprox. right ? Also , do you happen to have any plans on a saturator with adjustable gain ? And in a dream world with a SC High pass filter that can exclude the lows from the saturation ? I am a bit spoiled by the software world and even though i don`t know any hardware saturator that does this i am still hoping

  @@saardean4481 I missed this bit. Folks usually use these transformer saturators with a software eq to either push frequencies into the transformers or reduce them.

  I don't understand how this is demonstrating anything. 1. As far as I can tell, it's just some photos of built items, over music. 2. If there's a difference in sound... I'm not detecting it. And what sound is ostensibly being altered? The vocals? The entire track? There's way too much happening in the track to be able to keep track of any changes. With independent, hand built, products, it is very smart to include a demo video. But this isn't really a functional demo video. I hope you make a clear, functional demo video, and then I wish you good luck in your technological endeavors! Edit: I see that you've got this info in the description, but none of that shows up if people just click play in the video in Etsy. It could be that this whole thing is really just for people who will already know what they're listening for, so my ideas above might be irrelevant. If so, fair enough!

  I Just picked up this eq used at a music store for cheap. channel one sounds distorted I have to turn gain and output all the way up to even get decent volume out. channel two works perfect no problems. any idea what could be wrong? there's no info on this eq online anywhere and this video is the only one I can find on youtube any info is appreciated

  I've been looking at distortion pedals and came across your Reverb store. Nice work on this circuit in particular. Even at higher gains it has a pleasing sound. Fuller than what I have heard and it doesn't break apart. I don't know where all these stupid sounding synths and effects came from today but I don't find much of it useable. I'm more from the DJ side of electronic music so I have to think about something that can be mixed with other records and sounds good. The only distortion that I personally knew was a RAT pedal because every pawn shop had 10 of them in Detroit. When I figured out that's what guys were using with their TB303 I bought one to run mine through and also liked to hook it up to the effects send on my mixer along with a reverb pedal. That one was a bone crusher of course so it had to be used lightly. I also like the transistor boxes. I used to run the mixer into an old handmade DI box from a tip that was a lifesaver. I need to have one of those again. My mixer does not have much gain, sounds a little weak.

  I'm sure I could build you something lovely to match your needs - transformer saturation is a beautiful thing indeed - but helped along with a clipper circuit - magic! I have a couple of Canford broadcast quality mic splitters with Lundahl transformers in the shop right now - take a look!

  Could you do a video on how to make these trafo boxes in a DIY setting?... I saw a guy using a trafo in reverse(?) , when it comes to impedance matching that's where my brain got fuzzy. I rather use a trafo clean without any other parts ...if that is even possible?

  Hi - I'm not sure - but they should work in any ir host that isn't built specifically for the designers ir's. If you're serious about the complex beauty of convolution - treat yourself to Fog Convolver 2. It's amazing - works in true stereo and has fx and a parametric eq to shape the ir!

  Sorry! Missed this message. They can be used to soften harsh audio, add energy and 3d. Too many options to go into now but even on instance on your mixbus with the right transformer choice will make the track bloom.
