Well that’s new for me. I have drained water then added cornflour with milk. Then grated cheese. I will try this way. As so far what I have made ( your way) has been good. Always learning 😅

First time I've ever seen mac n cheese made that way. Looks delicious! I use Velveeta but my cheese sauce has flour, butter, and milk in it, and added to drained pasta. Now I know I can still make it if I happen to be out of milk!

A question Val please. Did I miss the recipe for Pinto beans? My hubby is Portuguese and loves beans. I could surprise him... haha. I make my potato the same way except for the oven part. I will however give that a try because we love fried potatoes any old way. I am going to look up your friends recipe for cornbread as well ..and.....I make homemade mac and cheese... however I was taught with shredded Cheese, milk and of course thickening agent. I love Velveeta cheese and so did my granny but I don't remember her putting it in mac and cheese. Deff going to try this. Your southern meal is not far off of a good Canadian farm meal.
