Southern Buttery Yogurt Biscuits: Simple Ingredients & Easy to Make Everyday Bread

A homemade southern (United States) biscuit (not a British biscuit😉), hot out of the oven with a buttery, crispy exterior and flaky, buttery interior is my go-to homemade bread. I’ve eaten amazing homemade biscuits all my life growing up in the American southern with several southern baking grandmas. Over the years, I created my own biscuit version using a little less fat with a flavor enhancement using Greek yogurt. This recipe is a little less heavy on the hips but with lots of flavor. This video shows it all!

    Hi. This recipe follows more of an American southern biscuit recipe. They are not scones as they are lighter and flakier than a scone. But what we call biscuits in the US are a thick, flaky bread, while biscuits in the UK are what we (from the US) call cookies. We call this type of bread in the US biscuits while a similar (more dense version) is what I think are called scones in the UK. Thanks.
