South Korea bringing in migrant workers amid labour shortage
South Korea will be bringing in about 110,000 migrant workers this year to work at its farms and factories. These sectors are facing a labour shortage as younger South Koreans deem those jobs dirty and dangerous. The country's treatment of migrant workers is now under closer scrutiny.

Well, then, as a Korean citizen, tell your country men to work at those so-called dangerous and dirty jobs instead of relying on the third world to do it for you that’s how it starts if you don’t want to be like France or any country in the west, then tell your country men to stand up for themselves

@@lostinaroom5551 Automation will make many of those jobs obsolete anyway
Wwll, korea offers better benifits and treatment that middle east
Any link for immigrant at korean?
Come to south korea and work at these farms If you want to experience terrible living and working conditions. Salaries being delayed for weeks, even months. Some farm owners won't pay you your appropriate salary and some won't even pay you at all. Your boss shout and curse at you while working hard labor 18 hours a day eating the same thing that's been in the fridge for months over and over again. Racism and discrimination are also common. Human and labor rights violations are rampant. There are also cases of physical and sexual abuse! Goodluck! You have been warned.
Only few decades ago, South Koreans were the migrant workers doing hard labor in other "richer" countries. I hope they do not forget what that was like and treat these migrants workers with respect and dignity that they deserve.

Alot of their problems can be solved if the Koreas unite South Korea got the work North Korea got the workers It will also fix South Korea's low birth rate and they will have nukes so they don't need the US alliance for protection. South Korean construction companies will not be short of labour and work

It would be more easier to encourage Chinese Koreans to come also
Lmao 110000 is not enough. Estimated labor force needed that won't be met by Koreans are about 1.5 million.

I had experience working next to Sth. Korean company and they treat the non Korean workers like slaves, kind like forced labourers at concentration camps, stricts & they screams to the workers all the time. No wonder Sth Korean made cars not sold well here in my country.

60% of foreigners in Korea are Chinese and the vast majority of them are Korean Chinese
I fear for this farmers, it happens in the USA when Donald Trump drive away undocumented immigrant workers, the farmers suffered huge losses because of ripen crops unharvested, that could happen in Korea too, why not give them legal working vesa?
