I was diagnosed with cancer about 6 months ago. For a few months I couldn't eat solid food, at first for physical reason but it eventually turned in to a mental block. I stumbled across this channel and somehow Sonny's love of food has helped me overcome my mental block about eating. I can't explain it because I'm what Sonny would consider a very limited eater to begin with. Anyway, just wanted to thank you for unknowingly helping me through this struggle.

I’m so glad you found his videos and that they have helped you. There are a bunch of us that get the same benefits from Sonny’s content and his likability helps as well. Some food vloggers eat in a way that is not conducive to people who may have problems eating. He doesn’t make disgusting sounds like Mukbang people make and he doesn’t talk with a giant amount of chewed food in his mouth. He always puts his hand up a bit if he talks while eating. And I don’t think that other people realize how disconcerting it can be for some who have issues with eating and/or food, but still enjoy food videos. But yeah, there is an entire community of people who like Sonny because he makes the experience nice, he’s funny and very real. My personal issues with food are medically related as well. I have a severe digestive disorder as well as short bowel syndrome. So I went from a very plump 290lbs to 145lbs in just one year. My doctors said it was too much, too fast and were having problems keeping me healthy from malnutrition problems. I started watching Sonny’s videos and I got up to 155lbs and have maintained that for a little over a year now. I do hope that you are doing well, considering the circumstances. And I hope that you will respond well to whatever treatment path you take. Keep your head up and enjoy the small things. I have had cancer 3 times and now have been in remission for 11 years. 😊 These days it isn’t always a “death sentence” when you get a malignancy. So, focus on the positive and the good things…it will make all the difference in the world. Much love to you and your loved ones! ✌🏻💕😊

Man.... I remember growing up as a little kid in Korea wayyyyy back in the day. We'd each grab a big bucket, go hit a muddy foreshore MILES long, and come back home with a bucket full of seafood. We mostly got clams and crabs, but on some lucky days, we even scored nakjis(smaller species of octopi). 3 hours spent under the Jeonra-do sun, you'd have the next 3 meals covered. And at night, we'd lie down on our lawn, looking up at the milky way. We would get eaten alive by mosquitoes, but we didn't have a care in the world. Boy, I just hit myself with a brick of nostalgia!

I very much appreciate all the technological advances allowing us to be entertained, to have convenience, and to order food all with our fingertips. Whenever I see a cuttlefish, I can't help but think of that South Park episode 🤣
I miss Korea, Never got down to Busan but I will when I go back. I use to hang out in Osan or Seoul. The further north you are the cheaper the food... I've gotten meals that would be $30+ in America for $5, back then that was like 7,500W, Koreans are chefs regardless of what part you're in its just Tourist heavy areas or Japanese ran areas that are most expensive.
Wow, its so clean!!
That seafood market is awesome 😋😋
Green bitter stuff is bile. that's why you're suppose to clean the fish before cooking to avoid breaking the gall bladder and release the bile that'll contaminate all the meat.
Part of the reason everything seemed a little more expensive than you expected was because you didn't haggle. That price they give is their starting point, locals will usually haggle the price down or get them to throw in some extra freebies! Easier to hit 1000$ though LOL
I never oticed before but his wife does a fabulous job behind the camera. 14:04 her sense of humor came out ❤
