@@xarelesskaviar8351 No they arent overly rare. They arent caught as readily as crayfish etc due to the deep water nature of them, but we have a lot of them. When i was a child my father and his friend were purging one in a salt water tank and i used to let it grab a broom handle with its claws... it was strong as hell. They arent overly renowned for their taste...

He's a food comedian.

My father was a fisherman in Hobart, The captial of Tasmania. One of his biggest crabs is now in the Tasmanian Museum as its a record holder.

Maybe a small family, but not me. I'm 250Ibs and I could eat all that by myself. Speaking of eating crab. I'm going to be eating unlimited dungenous crab at the casino tomorrow, and that crab got a lot of meat in it too. Of course I'm not going to be paying no seven hundred dollars to eat there, and there's two variety of crabs that I'm going to be eating dungenous, and the snow crab. It's going to be so good!

I have to say, the chef didn't know how to handle nor prepare the crab.

One of my favorite islands, it's definitely up there with Ireland island and Jamaica island.

Usually don't like crabs , loads of work eating them, but the way this chef prepare it , simply satisfying and no hassle, wonder what it costs for a meal like this in his restaurant.

i do hope the chef gets to taste everything as well hahaha

My best friend's Dad caught a big one of these when I was a kid, it was the sweetest crab meat ever. I live on the other side of Tasmania on the mainland. It's actually called an Australian (or Tasmanian) king crab. Found on the south-east coast of the mainland too. My friends dad was an abalone diver and caught it so no they don't always live half a mile under the ocean! Also one time when I was a kid my Dad was friends with a local seafood retailer and he gave us one for free! It was getting a bit old (had already been cooked).

I need a vacation back in Japan, chill out for a bit.
