Real Italy is from Rome downwards. Milan is only a mix of different regions and much less rich in cultural attractions than Naples and Rome. Centre and south Italy are real cuddle of our country, where greeks landed and founded our civilization even before Romans

5:12 This section made me laugh hard because it brought back memories. About 8 years ago, myself and a friend were watching an episode of The Sopranos for the umpteenth time when we actually decided to look up WTF all the characters are talking about when they say "gabagool". Turns out the answer was not what we expected: what the Italian-Americans call 'gabagool', the Italians call 'capicola'. That's the cured salami meat you see inside the mozzarella-bomb sandwich that covers Max's happy face. But that just shows you how languages can change so much, given enough time and distance. 🕊️✌🏼

@Mark Nelson milan has only fog and concrete, Romans considered it like not even part of Italy but Gallia.People from north are just jealous coz they live in the fog 9 months out of 12 and have no sea but only concrete as panorama

@Mark Nelson Lol to say Veneto is a discounted Slovenia while venetians built their most famous attractions and architectures 😂😂 Veneto is beautiful really, same as Piedmont and Lombardia outside Milan (Como for example) and I would add also the montaneous regions of Trentino and Valle d'Aosta as well as Emilia Romagna (Ferrara, Parma etc).

So much respect for Italian cuisine and culinary excellence.

I was born and I live in lecce, I think the best thing we have is the horse meat. When it's cooked to perfection it melts in your mouth in an incredible way, and it's flavours are tremendously good. Hope you'll like my little province

how interesting the different things you tried on this tour! some of it looked amazing and some of it - well i am not so sure i would be adventurous enough to try kangaroo ha! ha! - but i can tell you had a wonderful time and the locals all seemed to be very nice people who made you two feel very welcome and brought some excellent food to your table. that speaks well of them. all the regions of that marvelous country offer so much! who knows but maybe i can make it there someday!?

In Italy anywhere you "bang your head" casually you'll eat and drink at or close to the best levels available on Earth, just stay away from the touristy venues right next or close to major monuments and attractions and you'll be amazed all the times... visit the monument/attraction then just casually stroll a couple of streets away from it and any bar/restaurant/pizzeria/trattoria (Trattoria is an old name that means "place for farming tractor drivers" and characterizes a toned down non-posh restaurant that focuses just on the quality of the food, generally the prices are also more family oriented) will serve you well with amazing food and local specialities.
